New Komplete Kontrol 3.3 Update
Hi!
I just installed the newest update for Komplete Kontrol (3.3) and my S61 MK2 is not getting recognized any more by Komplete Kontrol. Neither the Standalone version of KK nor the VST3 version in Cubase seem to recognize the keyboard. What happened ?

We have yet to be able to reproduce the issue, rather frustratingly (I believe that what you're seeing is very real). I have an M32 and an SMK2 both working with KK3.3 on my computer, and other internal setups as well.
Whilst we continue to diagnose, if it is in any way helpful, here is temporary access to the prior installers for KK 3.2.1:
Let us know if that resolves the issue temporarily. Thank you for your report and your patience.

What went wrong:
- Komplete Kontrol 3.3.0 shipped on 2024-08-01.
- Komplete Kontrol 3.3.0 broke connection for some A, M and S MK2 keyboards (MK3 was unaffected).
Why it went wrong:
- In certain circumstances, Komplete Kontrol 3.3.0 was inadvertently ignoring NIHardwareAgent, a service used by A/M/SMK2 keyboards.
- This service handles Komplete Kontrol's NKS integration for those keyboards, thus causing a failure to connect for affected users.
Severity and Symptoms:
- The A/M/SMK2 keyboards for affected users would still have functioned as generic MIDI and DAW Controllers, but experienced a failure to connect to Komplete Kontrol 3.3.
Please accept my sincere apologies for the incident.
Komplete Kontrol 3.3 was in beta for weeks, and passed all of our own internal tests as well –both manual and automatic. The variable that had to exist for the above incident to be true didn't surface until we released en masse to a much larger audience.
Solution:
We deployed Komplete Kontrol 3.2.1 rollback installers via the Community Forum overnight, solving the issue for any user who we were able to reach and had prepared an email to send to all users today, had the issue not been properly solved.
The good news is… Komplete Kontrol 3.3.1 contains a fix, has been deployed worldwide and should appear in your Native Access 2 accounts already, or within minutes.

Check this out, maybe it helps:

Thanks. I checked it out. The Hardware Connection Service doesn't appear in my Native Access. I created a ticket, maybe they can add it tomorrow

Just a thought but I presume the people still with MKII keyboards haven’t needed to update anything other than Komplete Kontrol, is that correct, so not the hardware connection service etc? That is a difference from those of us who have a MKIII and a MKII as we had to update the hardware connection service in order to be able to update the MKIII firmware, so maybe there is something going on with communication with the MKII hardware with the new version of KK3 if it is installed without the hardware connection service update? (Would Native Access even be offering that to people with the MKII series?)

Yes, that works for now, but I believe the new 3.3.0 only works in connection with the Hardware Connection Service app which I don't have in my account. I read someone got it added by Sebastian from NI and it worked then.

that would confirm my hypothesis then, but that shouldn’t be happening

The NI Hardware Connection Service is unrelated to A, M and S MK2 keyboards, which do not use or talk to that tool.

Something else is up then, I don't know

FWIW, my S88 Mk2 no longer connects with Komplete Kontrol after 3.3.0 either. I tried reinstalling KK, switching USB cables, rebooting, etc. The Logic Pro X integration still works, and Maschine 2.18.4 also integrates fine, so it's definitely something in the KK build.
Happy to help debug or reproduce stuff if needed.
MacBook Pro M1 Pro, 32GB
In the meantime, I'll downgrade. Thank you for providing the installers above!
Thanks!

I am having the same issue with KK mk2 not fully connecting after 3.3.0. The browser is not working on Apple M1 Max 13.6.8

I know, but it is the one variable here that is different- people with MKIII keyboards, and therefore also the connection service, have MKII working as well, people who only have MKII are the ones affected. Just a process of deduction.
Maybe KK3.3 is communicating via the connection service but the older connection to the MKII is broken in the absence of that service?

I am having the same issue and more. I can not resize the window properly and Komplete is very buggy. I am using an MKII. Was working fine before I updated.

I just woke up and Martin from NI sent me a link to the Hardware Connection Service and I installed it and afterwards I installed the 3.3.0 again and I can confirm it works now. Only issue is I get met with an error message when I start Komplete Kontrol, but after I press ok everything works normally.
