Stem version could not be created (until loaded)
I have migrated my library from TP3 and encountered the "Stem version could not be created" error on numerous songs.
Found a workaround:
Loading the song into a deck solves the problem, stems can be generated afterwards.
Not very intuitive behavior I would say, or am I missing something?

Re-analyzing does not change anything, but loading into deck seems to solve the problem for every track.

Were the songs in a playlist before?
If not, it is because the songs have to be in a playlist and when you play them the songs end up in the last played playlist.
If your music was already organized into playlists, I recommend you contact support as you may have found a bug.

I think the track needs to have transients and stripes created before you can generate stems.

I understand that there seem to be prerequisites for stem generation, and loading a track into a deck seems to make sure that they are met. If that is the case, however, than generating stems should either also (a) activate this process or provide the user with a hint as to what needs to be done. Just stating that stens couldn't be created is pretty poor error handling I would say.

I just tried a song that has not been any playlist. Error comes up. After I add it to a playlist, the error persists.

Try (re-)analyzing it first, and/or load it to a deck like you mentioned above. If the problem persists with this specific file please tell.

Thanks. It's my hope this will be addressed in the next patch. As you can imagine, getting the new features right is going to be a priority on NI's bug list.

I'm having the same issue, but loading into a deck isn't working.
Have also tried reanalyzing, and that hasn't helped either. Also tried checking file names, and removing any characters underscores, etc, and that hasn't worked either.
Seems to be affecting about 30% of my tracks
