I've seen a discussion about changing the deck light colours for MAC, is it possible to do this in Windows?
I have an S2 and an S4.
Tia folks!
'Search' function is your friend. 🙂
As I said "I've seen a discussion about changing the deck light colours for MAC".. ;)
Or are we saying that discussion also applies to Windows ..??
Traktor uses qml files for a lot of NI controllers, both Windows and Mac. They work basically the same way.
Can you link to the Mac LED discussion? I am curious which discussion you mean.
It's the same discussion. I'll give it a go.
Simple answer here is:No, the MAC instructions absolutely do not apply to Windows in any way shape or form. Unless you have some sort of developers tools I guess :)
I don't have a mac, so I can't check. But can you tell us what part you are stuck at? Can you locate the qml folder? If yes, can you localte and open the DeckHelper.js file?
The bit where it says to unpackaged the exe. That'd probably need a Developer tool..I'm guessing c++.
If there is another path I'm missing that actually exists in the Microsoft file system, it would be good to know where it is :)
the original post shows the Windows path …
You can change the colour for the whole deck in the file '...\Native Instruments\Traktor Pro 3\Resources64\qml\CSI\Common\DeckHelpers.js'
google found this…
Instructions
Mac:
1. Navigate to /Applications/Native Instruments/Traktor Pro 3
2. Right click Traktor.app, then click Show Package Contents
3. Navigate to Contents/Resources/
4. Make a backup of the qml folder!
5. Make your changes…
Windows:
1. Navigate to C://Program Files/Native Instruments/Traktor Pro 3/Resources64/
2. Make a backup of the qml folder!
3. Make your changes…
Would love to have these options exposed in Traktor without editing a config file every update.
Cheers for the clarification
