Smart Playlist Feature Request

It would be really helpful if within smart lists, one of the conditions was "Playlist" so you could use this to pull out tracks that are within another playlist - or not within another playlist. iTunes has this feature and it's really helpful. You can throw lots of tracks in a playlist, manually, and then use smart playlists to pull tracks from it - it makes for a best of both world, manual + smart list thing.

If it can help, this is one of the thing I created https://codeberg.org/DidierMalenfant/TraktorBuddy for, as a solution for this.

I use it to tag an entire playlist with a given property:

tktbug tag add MyTag:Value

and then use smart playlists with a 'Comment2 contains MyTag:Value' condition.

Thank you - I'll take a look, that might work for some scenarios - but one idea I had was to remove tracks automatically from a playlist if the track is also within a "played this session" playlist.

You can use the library itself (instead of the command line) to script this yourself. If you're not too keen on Python I can probably post something here which will do just that.

The point of the library is to script and automate workflows like this easily.

There's no way to add suggestions on that page.

I too want playlists and folders added to smart playlists — just like iTunes has been able to do for years. This would make Traktor's browser section more powerful.

Hopefully it will open up again in the near future. Right now i guess it's all about making the new features just right and the bugs go away.
