Hi everyone...
Hope you are all well.
I have seen several people talk about the latest version of traktor not loading waveforms and the sound cutting out after playing a song for 20 seconds.
I am experiencing both of these problems as well as having a high load meter reading and long loading times on boot-up/close down and also when loading a tune.
When I first boot up traktor it takes ages to start and as soon as it does I notice the load meter jumping around between 50-100%. (It never used to do this,it would usually hover around 10%)
I am also getting a long load time with any tune I try to load into a deck. It takes ages and sometimes no wave form appears. Usually after this happens the deck that didn't load the waveform will stop playing completely, shortly followed by traktor freezing and hanging?
The whole system is running really sluggish and if I have two tunes playing or trying to browse or use an effect it will play music but the graphics will freeze.
It's basically unusable due to every action taking so long.
I've not changed any of my hardware since I started using TP3 and its always run fine for years with the same mixer and laptop, its only since the latest update and the one before it's started to behave really badly which makes me think there is something going on with the latest versions.
I have cleared all the history/archives from the HD. (C/drive > users > documents > traktor > history)
I have re-installed the drivers for my hardware. I have disabled as many programs as possible using task manager. I have read somewhere that traktor has a cache folder? 🤔 is that a thing? If so can it be cleaned out?
I have 30GB of free space on the C/drive (I will move some more files to free up a bit more space in an attempt to help the situation even though I've had 30GB of space for a long time with no issues?)
My laptop is a Lenovo i5 with 16GB of RAM on Windows 10. It's never had a problem running traktor until recently.
I haven't tried latencyMon yet but according to my task manager the only thing running that could possibly be using any processing power is Windows defender which is using around 15% but I can't delete it? Its been disabled but still using resources?
I've disconnected my external (E drive which contains nothing but MP3s) and run traktor without it but it makes no difference?
I've tried turning off the "scan folders on start up" option in the settings of traktor which doesn't work either.
I have also tried to run it with the multi-core processing option off as well as on for several days at a time on each setting to no avail?
It still boots up really slowly and takes between 5 & 10 minutes to save collection when closing down.
I'm litterally losing my mind over this now as I've tried everything I can think of.
Can anybody help resolve this issue?
Thanks
