Load is high, no wave forms, sound cuts out traktor hangs

Hi everyone...
Hope you are all well.
I have seen several people talk about the latest version of traktor not loading waveforms and the sound cutting out after playing a song for 20 seconds.
I am experiencing both of these problems as well as having a high load meter reading and long loading times on boot-up/close down and also when loading a tune.
When I first boot up traktor it takes ages to start and as soon as it does I notice the load meter jumping around between 50-100%. (It never used to do this,it would usually hover around 10%)
I am also getting a long load time with any tune I try to load into a deck. It takes ages and sometimes no wave form appears. Usually after this happens the deck that didn't load the waveform will stop playing completely, shortly followed by traktor freezing and hanging?
The whole system is running really sluggish and if I have two tunes playing or trying to browse or use an effect it will play music but the graphics will freeze.
It's basically unusable due to every action taking so long.
I've not changed any of my hardware since I started using TP3 and its always run fine for years with the same mixer and laptop, its only since the latest update and the one before it's started to behave really badly which makes me think there is something going on with the latest versions.
I have cleared all the history/archives from the HD. (C/drive > users > documents > traktor > history)
I have re-installed the drivers for my hardware. I have disabled as many programs as possible using task manager. I have read somewhere that traktor has a cache folder? 🤔 is that a thing? If so can it be cleaned out?
I have 30GB of free space on the C/drive (I will move some more files to free up a bit more space in an attempt to help the situation even though I've had 30GB of space for a long time with no issues?)
My laptop is a Lenovo i5 with 16GB of RAM on Windows 10. It's never had a problem running traktor until recently.
I haven't tried latencyMon yet but according to my task manager the only thing running that could possibly be using any processing power is Windows defender which is using around 15% but I can't delete it? Its been disabled but still using resources?
I've disconnected my external (E drive which contains nothing but MP3s) and run traktor without it but it makes no difference?
I've tried turning off the "scan folders on start up" option in the settings of traktor which doesn't work either.
I have also tried to run it with the multi-core processing option off as well as on for several days at a time on each setting to no avail?
It still boots up really slowly and takes between 5 & 10 minutes to save collection when closing down.
I'm litterally losing my mind over this now as I've tried everything I can think of.
Can anybody help resolve this issue?
Thanks

Hi Sulherokhh,
The current version number I have installed is 3.8.0.46
I have tried to perform a consistentcy check on my C drive which took around 2 hours and as soon as I clicked on "delete missing" it hung and I had to force close the app

This can happen with large collections. I never do a consistency check on my whole collection, just on portions of it, step by step.
Have you tried using TP 3.11.1?
It's pretty stable, although starting and exiting (i.e loading and saving the collection) is pretty slow.
One known source of problems is when devices/usb hubs shut down to conserve energy when not in use. Are any of your power saving settings still active? This is the standard on all laptops/notbooks and has to be done by hand. When this happens, Traktor usually gets confused and takes a lot of time to do anything or shuts down completely.

Hi Sulherokhh
I haven't upgraded to 3.11.1 yet but I'm reluctant to spend the money to upgrade as I'll be not only be disappointed that the upgrade didn't work but I'll also be out of pocket as well?
All my power saving settings are as they should be.. (all set to never)
Do have any idea why I can't delete missing files after a consistency check? It's really annoying I feel that having lots of missing link in my library isn't helping?

Just so your aware I tried to update to 3.11.1 via the native access page and it told me that my all my software is up to date?
So even though there is a newer version I can't upgrade from 3.8.0.46 to 3.11.1 which is extremely weird..

Upgrading from TP 3.8 to TP 3.11.1 is free. It's both Traktor Pro 3.
You can also downgrade. My version of choice is TP 3.4.2.

How do I upgrade for free? I went to upgrade and itwants to charge me 52quid ?

It shouldn't charge anything, unless you go from TP2 to TP3.
If you are on a windows machine, i can send you a download link for a manual installer, which should work with your already purchased license. I'll have to upload it though, which will take a bit. Do you want to try this?

Hi Sulherokhh
Thank you.. I have managed to downgrade to 3.4.2. Which is the version you asked me about.. I am still getting a high CPU load and no waveforms on the decks when the track is loaded. The only noticeable difference is the MIDI is always connected with no issues on start up and the shut down time when traktor saves collection is considerably quicker. Sadly I cant use it very well while it's scanning all the music folders on start up as it does not perform properly when loading a track while the file scanning is running in the background.
Again I have checked all the laptop power settings.
And turned off all Internet into airplane mode.
But nothing seems to work..
It's still glitching with high CPU load even on start up before I do anything?
As I mentioned already this laptop has had no hardware changes and has run traktor perfectly well.. up until recently..
My only other option is latency Mon which I'mbgoing try and do tonight but I'm not confident it's going to make any difference?
Thanks for all your help..

Hi bud..
I downgraded to 3.4.2 but its made very little difference in terms of CPU load.
Traktor still runs really slow.
I'm still not getting any waveforms on some tunes when they load and while traktor is performing a scan in the background I can't use it properly at all. If I try to load it tune it glitches out really badly.
I've rechecked the laptop power settings. They're.all set to never etc..
This laptop had never had any issues running traktor till recently and it's never had any hardware changes.
I'm going try installing amd running latencyMon tonight if possible.. to see if it can help isolate the problem.
I'm all out of ideas otherwise.
I'm not even convinced a fresh install would work..
When I downgraded it lost loads of my playlists and I can't load them from the previous versions back up folder as they aren't there.

Deactivate the autoscan at start of your folders.
To recover your playlists, use the file 'collection.nml' from you latest Traktor folder (in Documents) and copy it to the Traktor 3.4.2 folder, replacing the old one. Make a safety copy of the old one first.
