Kontakt 7 instant crashes

Since Kontakt 7 became available I haven't been able to use it, either in Standalone mode or inside my DAW (I have Studio One and Ableton and same issue). Kontakt opens momentarily for about half a second and immediately crashes, no error message or anything like that. I have uninstalled and re-installed multiple times over the last year or so, or however long it's been since Kontakt 7 was available. Every time I re-install it's the same issue with it.

I have given up with it and just settled for using Kontakt 6 in the meantime.

I have tried the numerous troubleshooting / fixes that are available through Native Instruments website and nothing works.

Even one of the guides which I have linked says to delete Kontakt 7 from localappdata, and then says to "Rename the "default" folder to "default_OLD": But how can I rename that folder after deleting the Kontakt 7 folder on the step before? The default_OLD folder is a subfolder inside of the Kontakt 7 folder.

Anyway, anything I have tried it won't work and pretty sick of the issues with it. I am not even sure what the latest version of Kontakt 7 is? I have version 7.6.1 and according to a few links there are newer versions than this, however this in no update showing in Native Access for Kontakt 7 for me to update.

    What OS are you using?

If you are not seeing any updates for Kontakt newer than 7.6.1 - this is an OS issue - most likely Mac OS

WIndows 10 us my operating system.

Even still, if it was an operating system issue that's stopping me from updating to the latest version of Kontakt 7, I still don't understand the issues I am having with the instant crashes. Like I say this has happened ever since I first downloaded Kontakt 7 maybe 2 years ago? (I am not sure when it was released).

Fair enough - what version of Native Access are you using then?
