How to convert old dfh kits (like cDefault Rock.kit) to Battery 4

Yes, this format is no longer supported in Battery 4. I'm not sure if this will work but it's worth a shot, you could try to install Battery 3, it will be in demo mode but maybe it's enough to import the kits in Battery 3 and then import them in Battery 4:

As a NI employee, you should know that this won't work. You can't save anything in demo mode. Let alone on some systems Battery 3 won't even work at all (no matter whether it's in demo mode or registered), aka "most miserable affair in NI land".
Whatever, @hvr1956, in case it's not tons of kits, send me a PM and tell me where to download the kits (slap them into Dropbox or whatever). Would be illegal with the samples but will perhaps as well work without those, at least it's worth a try. I would load them into Battery 3 (on my old Mac Pro) and resave them without samples. Battery 4 will then ideally ask you for the samples.
As said, should be worth a try.

From what I've been reading, the Battery 1 *.kit files are XML so they're human readable.
Open the kit files in a text editor, read the names of the samples, load the samples into Battery 4.

You'll lose all cell settings that way.

Thanx for the support. I've deceided to change my drumtracks to Superior Drummer. Mainly because Battery 4 within Cubase does not scale and according to the technical staff, it cannot be solved.

Last but not least on this topic. I tried to install the program, but it asks for a serial number. In this thread there is a solution.
