@alto16 Yes, correct. I've updated the title of this thread to reflect that.

You guys should also know that dependant on your actual CPU (Intel for example) - AND if you use your machine for only DAW work - there is zero need for any video card these days.

I use Studio One, a truckload of NI stuff (and everyone else's :) and have not used an actual "video" card since 2015. The integrated HDMI port on my Intel chips are more than enough for the low graphics load of your typical DAW and instantly removes any issues like the topic of this thread.

No graphics card means no fan noise, no annoying overhead on the motherboard and best of all - no $$$ spent.

No need to be hanging onto some old video card only to get caught by this Direct X stuff and who knows what else to come.

If you are a gamer or need an actual graphics card to perform other tasks on the PC - then ignore the above.

So I put an end to my situation with the GUI in GR6.4.0 by pulling out the AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5450 and putting in Radeon HD 8570 from one of my less used Systems... But now I have an interesting issue with GR 6.4.0 - the stand alone version comes up but there are no "Presets" - however there is "Components" - Now when I open up GR6.4.0 in Studio One 6, the GR App is fully functional. Which is great, but what is up with the stand alone not listing anything like it does when I open it up as a Tool in Studio One 6? See Images, Included 1 thru 4

In standalone - go to Preferences and Library->Scan

If that does not work - go Prefs->Library-Reset.

One of these should set your presets back in shape.

Thank you for the suggestions - I did try both initially and same issue - I did try it again after rebooting and Trying it - I also tried doing a clean install from Native Access and same issue - Works as designed (I assume) as a "Plug-in" with Studio One 6 but stand alone, no presets loading and I also noticed that when I click on "Components" and click a category then click off it will show the complete list of everything (Amps | Effects etc.) the Models work as individual components but it is very glitchy as for the menu's and categories in stand alone mode. I've tried importing - I search to make sure there were no other VSTPlugin folders with the dll files anywhere (there are of course but not for GR6) other than the intended folder under Program Files\NI\GR6\VBSTPlugins - If you have other suggestions or if anyone else has any insight it's all helpful!! Thank you

Correction: Program Files\NI\GR6\VSTPlugins not: Program Files\NI\GR6\VBSTPlugins slip of the finger !

Vocalpoint… Thank you for your suggestions!

I am working with a 2 monitor setup with a computer that requires an additional video card.

An update from my last post: I recently installed a “QTHREE GeForce GT 730 4GB 64Bit DDR3 Graphics Card”. It allows for the 2 HDMI ports that I require. The fan is very quiet. All my graphics (including the latest Guitar Rig 6) look and perform great. I have not tested Guitar Rig 7, but I am expecting that there will be no issues. I can’t technically say for sure, but I think I am getting a little cpu bump in performance, because the transitions between windows and plugins seem snappier. I’m assuming this is because the graphics card is doing the work and not the cpu.

Anyway… very happy so far. Will let the group know if I have any issues down the road.

    All the best,

The very latest v6.4.x update should be available to you in Native Access - assuming you already own GR6 Pro.

A move to v7.x - is an upgrade - which is 50% off right now with the Cyber Season Sale event.

Well - that is a Google thing. Not much that NI can do.
