I am struggling with getting audio from traktor to appear on live so I can use vst effects on the output.
Is there some recent tutorial on this?

Heyo!
I found this thread in the Ableton Forum including a video explaining how to do it. Give it a try and let us know if it works for you!

So, you have to route each of Traktors decks, to it's own Channel in Ableton. Again, definitely doable, mate! Then, just drop your FX onto the channel in Ableton that each Traktor deck is routed to.
Definitely. But this is where Ableton's mapping comes in. You need to UN-map the volume controls in Traktor, and then map them in Ableton (on each Channel). Think of it as controlling the audio signal. You're only interested in controlling the volume at the END of the signal chain (in this case, that means in Ableton). This gives you the benefit of having all of your FX in Ableton as Post Fader. 👍️ And don't forget, once your deck is routed into Ableton, you can re-route it to your hearts content!!! Send channels a-plenty, mate!!!

Definitely do-able, mate. But different methods depending on platform.
Are you Mac or PC?

I use both platforms actually
on windows i have managed to use jackaudio but i cant figure out to have the ableton effects per channel

You probably need to run in external mixing mode for that. But then you can control the channel volume from traktor any more

will i need to control eq from ableton as well?

You could. But, again, it would mean un-mapping it in Traktor, and then mapping in Ableton. What controller(s) are you using? You'll need to do some clever stuff with MidiOx to effectively "split" your controller into 2 separate controllers, so that it can be used in Traktor and Ableton at the same time.

You can keep the internal eq section usable by checking the right checkbox in Traktor's preferences.

Thank you so much, I will try it soon.
Now only to figure out psp42 again!

This is something I'm trying to accomplish as well. Its been blood sweat and tears to make Traktor effects do anything that takes seconds to do in Ableton.
I've tried using Jack Audio, which theoretically is great, but it keeps crashing/stopping.
Anyone figure out how to make Jack Audio work right for win10?

I am actually thinking of getting another sound interface just for this0
