Traktor Pro audio interfaces and Pioneer hardware?

Hi,

I was wondering, there isnt really a good 3 or even 4 channel audio interface for Traktor, which is not a RME Fireface? I loved the Audio 8 and 10.

Why I´m asking, becouse I want to use two track and two remix decks plus mixer.

So I thought, there is always a DJM900NXS at the booth and I can use the audio interface of the DJM, are there any problems?

I have got a DDJ1000 at home, which got a audio interface aswell, but when I select the DDJ at audio, there is noch output at the channels of the DDJ mixer, and I dont know why? And there are only 3 channels, not 4.

Yeah, if the mixer supports USB I would just use that. Makes setup really simple.

There are no DDJ-1000 Out 7/8 in the drop down on output deck D?

Thats the problem, there are the options at Traktor, but there is no output at the mixer.

Looking at your screenshot you don't have it mapped right now.

Yes, because it only goes to DDJ-1000 Out 4/5

The DDJ-1000 can only be used with a master/headphone (internal) mixer setup.

You can get a used Traktor Audio 6 for ~50 - 80 EUR. Pretty decent bang for the buck.

If you want something new and also use DVS there is the Reloop flux.

Traktor will work with any interface. As long as you have enough ins and outs.

I just use the build in on my xone mixer. Most club mixers have USB now days.

Remember you need to configure both Traktor and the Pioneer djm 900nxs. you need to download the Pionner DJM 900NXS utility and set that up also else you will run into issues. once it is all set up, is really simple to use, turn the selector knob to usb A or B depending which usb you use on the Pioneer to connect to your laptop and you good to go. You can use all 4 decks or 2 decks and 2 sample decks and even recording set through the pioneer Soundcard. Keys is to Set both Traktor settings and pioneer utilty settings correctly.

Yes, really - based on what is clearly written in the DDJ-1000 user manual, and the setup guide for using the DDJ-1000 with VirtualDJ, and what the Atomix devs have stated, and finally what Pulse from Pioneer has stated on the Pioneer forum.

So what would be a good 3 or 4 stereo channel audio interface?

If you want to use it for DVS: Reloop Flux with 3 stereo in/out is the only solution I know which is available new. If a used interface is an option NI Traktor Audio 6 will do the job too. If you require 4 stereo channels: Traktor Audio 10 comes to my mind but is also available used if at all. If it has to be new and DVS capable I don‘t know any product suitable.

If you just need 4 stereo outputs: Any audio interface with enough channels will do in Traktor.

DDJ-1000 has only 3 stereo outputs as it seems. In rekordbox you can use 4 decks due to internal mixing. Should only output cue, master mix and booth. You could configure Traktor in the same way.

Thanks but I`m not sure about the interfaces, since NI but the Kontrol X1 MK1 in EOL and it dosnt work on macOS any more, hat if they do the same with the Audio10?

And for what I see, the Audio 6 only got 2 stereo channels.

Arent there any other good and affortable interfaces with at leased 3 stereo channels?

I would suggest MOTU UltraLite mk5 but you may not consider it to be affordable.

Audio 6 has 6 channels, aka 3 stereo. Just like you asked for. And it's used only 50 - 80 EUR.

But like I wrote before, any interface will work with Traktor.
