Chord names don't show on Komplete Kontrol mk2 keyboard display

I sold my maschine mk3 preferring the workflow of ableton push and live. When using chord mode the chord presets showed on the mk3's display but there doesn't seem to be a way to get them to show in my S61 mk2 keyboard display. Am I missing something or is this just not possible even though you can access chord mode directly from the keyboard? If it's not available then perhaps it might be something worth considering in a future firmware release.

No the chords don’t display on the keyboard, they show in the menu but don’t say what you have selected after closing.

    That’s a good suggestion.

Maybe you could tag your post as “feature request” to help them see it

I wish I had known that before purchasing an MK2 model. I assumed it displayed the name of the individual chords the way Maschine + and MK3 do. Oh, well.

I did find a work around for this. I use Ableton live and there's a midi plugin device that displays the chords as you play them. It might be worth investigating if your DAW of choice has a similar feature. Not quite the same as seeing them before playing but better than nothing.

A bit of an oversight by NI not to display the chords in the same way maschine MK3 does. Not likely to ever be added now either since NI saw fit to stop supporting the MK2 S series keyboards with firmware updates as soon as the MK3 series was announced.

Hello! Thanks for the post. I do have Ableton (12) and use a Max For Live device that displays chord names. I downloaded this freeware back when Live 9 was new and still works. I've attached a copy of it in case someone else is looking for something like that

Yeah, too bad NI won't add that feature. That's fine; I still like my MK2.
