"Promiseware" is the same thing as "vaporware". So it's not a new concept; just a new name.

This whole experience will be a reminder to myself not to buy
something that is clearly still in beta.

If you had learned anything from the gaming industry/community (and who among us doesn't game?), you would have known that buying ANYTHING via preorder comes with significant risks.

And if you bought it AFTER it was released, then you should have had the sense to come to these forums and see what people were saying about the release.

Well, it's better to learn sooner rather than later. If you have learned your lesson now, you could still avoid spending thousands of "pre-order dollars" on future bad launches.

Me? I pre-ordered full-well knowing that there were going to be issues. No, I'm not clairvoyant. I'm an IT manager, so I've been to this rodeo many many times throughout my career. When I ordered, I had already decided to work my way THROUGH the problems and issues here.

Going forward? I'll pre-order Komplete 15 when it's available; as long as it offers enough stuff that I don't already have. But I might decide to hold off on Maschine 4. Yep, I fully expect we'll get a new Maschine sometime this summer/fall, and KK has taken a lot of energy out of me, so I'm not sure I'll preorder Maschine 4 when that time comes.

I have been thinking of going with Push 3, but probably not the standalone option. That's another $1,000 upcharge. I highly doubt that anybody "goes standalone" on a regular basis anyway; even if they have the standalone equipment. I just don't think it's a thing, but I would love to know if NI or other vendors have statistics on that.

Plus, I've already decided to upgrade my Apple iPad, Watch, and iPhone this year, and maybe my MacBook Pro when the M4 version comes out later this year or next year. So who knows; I might keep my old Push 2 and Maschine Studio going for the foreseeable future anyhow; just so I don't have to eat Alpo all summer, lol!

What happens if you get the glittery hot-pink model with yellow and purple keys, and then there's a problem with one of the keys? I've sent broken stuff to Sweetwater for repair (for example, an old Rig Kontrol with a broken USB solder connector), and they sent me a working unit. Now that working unit probably just came off of a shelf in their service center. If it had been a yellow unit with a red pedal and gold stomp buttons, I probably wouldn't have gotten one back with the same colors.

Im about to order my mk3 49 hence asking questions to be 100% sure about the purchase. I cant find any videos on FL studio integration - could you please confirm whether FL studio mixer view is showing up on komplete kontrol screen?
