Reaktor 6.5 doesn't recognize blocks as registered

When I try to load a particular ensemble (Rick Scott's Intonarumori 7), Reaktor 6.5 responds as if I were trying to run Blocks as an expired demo. There's a nag screen and the program is blued out, just like an expired demo. My Blocks and Blocks Prime are installed and registered, and haven't raised similar problems with other ensembles. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to get around it? Thanks.

@Oolalume Would you have a link to this ensemble so we can try to reproduce the issue?

The forum won't let me post a link because I'm a new user, but the ensemble in question is in the Reaktor User Library as "IntonaRumori 7," author Rick Scott (Rachmiel).

I had the same error message, then installed Reaktor Blocks again and that fixed it. Can you give this a go?

I did a simple uninstall and reinstall on both Blocks and Blocks Prime, but nothing changed. Here's a screen capture of what I get. Thanks for your help.

It seems Blocks is not bundled anymore with Reaktor 6. I've added a NFR licence for Blocks Prime on your account, does it work now? You might need to reinstall it again!

I'm not sure what to do with the registration license, since Reaktor already recognizes my Blocks Prime as registered. (I recall getting it as a special download from you folks after I raised a question about it not being included when I bought the program.) I uninstalled and reinstalled both Blocks and Blocks Prime again, but no request for registration came up. I still get the same result when I try to load IntonaRumori 7. Any other steps I can try?

    Thanks for your patience.

You ought to be able to see the serial connected with your account on the MY PRODUCTS, SERIALS, AND DOWNLOADS page , listed as either Not registered or as Registered Products. If the serial lists as not registered then register the serial in Native Access.

Else try uninstalling the Reaktor libraries and re-install , also check path settings in Reaktor : File menu : Preferences !

PoorFellow: I checked the My Products and Serials page to find that my Blocks Prime is listed as registered and that the serial number I already have is the same as the one sent to me this morning. (It's probably NI's stock number for allowing access. As I said, I got it before as a special work-around.) I'm not sure what else I can do in that direction.

I'm not sure what you mean about uninstalling the Reaktor libraries. (I hope you don't mean the whole program!) The ensemble file that's my problem isn't really installed -- it's just in a folder with all the other ensembles that work. Please let me know more specifically what you have in mind.

    Thanks for stepping in.

@Oolalume I see. Where is the Blocks Prime installed? I thought it was only a detail but I couldn't install it the 1st time I tried, I could only do it after setting Native Access's installation paths to default. If you do the same, reinstalling to the default Native Access installation path, does it work? If not, I can't help you more and you'll need to get in touch with our installation specialists here: https://bit.ly/NI_support_NA

Let them know some troubleshoot was done already, you can also link this thread to the ticket.

Jeremy -- Both my Blocks Base and Blocks Prime are in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Reaktor Factory Library. Is that the default location? Is there another way to make sure they go to default?

I wouldn't be going to all this trouble over an ensemble I've never heard except that this one is dedicated to my current favorite composer, Eliane Radigue, and I can't let that slip by!

Another thought: my ensembles library is on a different drive, custom set. Could that be the problem? Is there a default location for ensembles?

No, unfortunately I don't think that it can have an impact, I was already shooting in the dark! Hopefully my colleagues can help.

I'm also a big Eliane Radige fan, so I would say she's worth the trouble! So ahead of her time

So , I ought to have taken a closer look at your screenshot rather than just browsing your description.

The error given : "Demo products : You have modified instances of Reaktor blocks in your current session. Any modified versions of unregistered products are instantly disabled." made me wonder , and it turns out that I have the exact same problem myself with that particular 'Ensemble' . I cared to look into this and having done so then it appears to me that the problem is probably on of two , and also the most basic problem is that no error message is better than what it's been programmed to be able to especially discern between ! 1) It could be a problem where the author uses some module reference internally to some module that 'we' do either not have or do not have as full version or a version no longer in the bundle versions that we have !. or 2) The ensemble IntonaRumori 7 contains a lot of internal references to a couple of files located on authors private desktop and if something has not been correctly wrapped then that could also throw an error ! No matter how then if stuff works or did work then no one would be the wiser if users using or when published all had the prerequisites installed.. You could try contacting the author using the authors email since it appears he has not noticed the message in the Reaktor User Library section.

Please feel free to share the result of your investigation if you get an answer that yields anything useful !

Until then then try some of the other intonarumori , of those I tried then only V 7 didn't work as should !

FYI, there was a change in the Reaktor 6 bundle, it used to include Reaktor Blocks Prime but it does not anymore. For @Oolalume's case we tried to add the licence on top but it seems that did not work out. I can open this ensemble without any problem but my Reaktor 6 licence is quite old and had still Block Primes bundled. My colleagues will need to investigate the issue.
