Can you please update Alicia Keys - It takes forever to load?
As described in the title.
Why does Alicia Keys take over 1 minute to load (maybe slightly less)
It takes a massive amount of time, once loaded its finem switching presets, its just the initial load.
There is something not right with it?

Out of curiosity are you running Windows Security as your antivirus software? If so, there's a fairly well-known problem with it's virus scanner causing certain types of plugins getting loaded inefficiently due to a process called 'antimalware' that steals time away from the loading process.
If you run the task manager and then start loading Alicia's Keys you'll see the antimalware process dominating the CPU time and Kontakt getting very little processing time until antimalware is finished. There are a couple of ways you can deal with this if that's what's affecting you. I've outlined some of this in a post I posted today as I explored new ways of dealing with the problem, The one I started using today that resulted from my examination of this issue is outlined in that post and centers around listing the Kontakt Windows Program directory as exempted from virus scanning. That resulted in my Alicia's Keys loading in about 7 or 8 seconds. I referenced the post below:

What version of Kontakt and in what context? Standalone, DAW, operating system?

No issues here, loading from SSD into Mac/Monterey M1 64GB; or Intel 10th gen NUC/Windows 10/32GB. Both standalone on Windows; standalone on Mac, and loaded as AU in Logic X no issues here. Just as fyi. it's my go to piano, so use it all the time, hence my butting in :)

Yes sorry.
Running Komplete Kontrol in both standalone and Daw. Does not matter. I have both operating system and Library installed on an nvme ssd.
Kontak 7 is fine it loads instantly...
Its only Komplete Kontrol 3.2.1
Just takes Alicia keys longer to load:
I need to amend this (It seems to be all Native instruments plugins). 3rd party plugins load instantly.
See Longer version comparing 3rd party plugins to Native Instruments own Plugins:
Shouls I delete the database db3 files will this maybe fix the issue?

Yes resetting the database might help. Is Alicia's Keys installed on the same location as your other Kontakt libraries? Do you have user presets for Alicia's keys?
0 -
Yes all my Native Instruments libraries are installed on the same SSD.
No I do not have any custom presets added.
I will give deleting the DB3 files and see if that makes a difference. I will report back...
Nope still no difference?
Its strange, why is it sometimes when you select the Instrument to be loaded, a box will appear showing the loading of the instrument? when this shows the instrument opens up instantly, but in most cases, this box does not show, then it takes about 1 minute for the instrument to load.
I am wondering if some other software, on my PC, could be interfering with the process. If so, why is only the Native Instruments library's which are affected and not 3rd party ones?
I am going to have to troubleshoot some more, like disable antivirus, Malwarebytes, and other processes which I think may have an impact on this.

Hmm, cant seem to figure it out.
Done a full uninstall of Komplete kontrol (using Revo Uninstaller). Uninstalled both KK and Drivers for S88 Mk2 and Komplete Audio 6 Mk2.
Re-installed KK along with drivers.
Let it rescan all Vst's in stand alone.
Still when selecting various Native instruments Libraries, some times they load instantly, then other times it takes a minute. I can go back and forth on the same few instruments, and it all varies. Also noticed that with complete Kontrol open it uses 6% of my CPU, not sure if this is quite high, when its just idle and open? I think it is.
My system specs are Half decent:
i9-11900K
64.0 GB ram
RTX 4070Ti
Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (22635.3420)
WD_BLACK SN850X 2000GB (NVME)
WD_BLACK SN850X 1000GB (NVME)
Samsung SSD 860 EVO 4TB x 2
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 1TB x 3
I am Done tinkering; I can't bear any more rescans of all my vst's lol..
I will wait to see if future updates can maybe fix the issue, if not I can always revert back to KK 2.9.6 (but last resort as I want to get used to the new version, as limited as it is, with lack of views, and not able to see your presets side by side when you have the instrument in view? Bad decision there!!

Not sure if it will help, but I did not see what version of Native Access is in use by the OP.
Also, just this week, there's a new version of NA out there: V 3.10.1
Ever since I got off the old version (maybe 3-4 months ago?), NA has been very reliable for me. Ever since that time, I've never denied it to do an update. Maybe worth a try.

You make a valid point. But alas I have just tried this adding every Native Instruments folder to the Allowed list in both Malwarebytes and Microsoft's windows security.
Still get the 1-minute hang time when opening certain Native instruments within "Komplete Kontrol". (Does not happen in Kontakt 7).

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. I didn't do anything as far as "Allowing" anything, only Excluding certain folders from virus scans. But that may be a difference between Windows 11 and Windows 10. In my tests the speed up of loading was similar on all instruments on both Kontakt7 and Komplete Kontrol. KK is a tad bit slower (1 or 2 seconds) but very similar results.
I think this may come down to your Native Access version which you still haven't mentioned despite a number of requests for it. You should be on version 3.10.1 to get the best performance.

I meant exclusion. Not sure why I said allow..
Sorry Malwarebytes calls it allowed list, as in allowed on your computer, therefore it wont scan that folder.

Now it makes sense that my results are different than yours as I only run Windows Security and no other protection services, so it stands to reason my timing results would be different as there's less background overhead on my system. The only thing you could do to isolate the differences is do your own examination of the Task Manager while loading the different instruments in Kontakt and Komplete Kontrol to see if you can isolate what other processes might be stealing time from the loading process.

I get what you are saying, but even with Malwarebytes closed, and just using Windows security, I still get the delay.
When Malwarebytes is running, it takes over from windows security, turning it off. Both do not run together.
I even disable both, and still, I get the delay. It was a good suggestion, but in my case not the culprit.
Cheers!!
