Just wanted to say bravo to the NI team for this update. I'm loving my Kontrol Mk3 in general, but have been frustrated by the lack of MIDI template support (I knew this was the case going in — so I wasn't surprised, but still frustrated). A straightforward, detailed, transparent update like this goes a helluva long way towards restoring trust that this stuff really is coming. Seriously, nice job on this. Screenshots of MIDI templates look great. Can't wait!

Here's a specific next-level type of DAW integration that I think would be DOPE on Kontrol. Imagine:
- I have a track in my DAW set up to control a hardware synth
- I have also created a Kontrol template for that hardware synth via your sweet forthcoming on-device MIDI templates
- Now marry this up for me: let it be such that when I select that track in my DAW, the appropriate Kontrol template is loaded up on my device. Basically, give me the same kind of experience you've enabled for Komplete Kontrol and Kontakt, but do it with the MIDI templates. When I select the track, I get the template I want.
I won't profess to know the best way to do this, but I could imagine a lightweight VST plugin that sits on your track and loads a selected template on the device anytime I select that track.
That would be killer for me.

Don't you have a certain date yet? I'm tired of pressing button by button and not knowing what instrument I'm on, I have a kontrol mk3. I am a blind person. One question, when accessibility arrives, will it be announced in this thread? or open a dedicated post. Thank you very much for your answers!

When Accessibility arrives, it will be announced pretty much everywhere.
We decided last week to put it on pause to focus all strength on MIDI Templates and Play Assist, then return to Accessibility once those ship. We have been making good, but slower progress on many topics at once, so instead are ganging up on a single topic at a time.

This is the path to success when you have a big list of big things to smash and break. Set your priorities accordingly, so that your elite longbow archers and War Elephants can make the most impact while they are healthy and strong.
