Guys, Sonoma 14.4 has a Java bug. Oracle is tracking [can't post link]
Basically any process that uses Java is at risk of creating a kernel panic. Downgrade the OS or wait for a fix.
If neither is an option, a common trigger is the widgets/live wallpaper/iPhone widgets - disable all those and things should get better but will still occur because there are a gazillion libraries/apps that spawn java stub processes to do all kinds of things and those are not safe anymore.

Oooo very insightful. How does one disable widgets/live wallpaper/iPhone widgets in Sonoma? A Java issue kinda makes sense with this, though I would've never even guessed that. Also, I'm considering downgrading to Ventura. Would I have to wipe my drive, reinstall the OS, and then re-migrate/carbon copy/time machine or something?

Extremely insightful stuff. This definitely seems like part of the problem. For now though, it seems setting Kontakt 7's default zoom view to 100% is good so far. I'll keep using it and seeing if it breaks. : )

No problem. I understand people expect their Macs to work properly out of the box and whenever there is a crash, the first suspect is a third party app - and when the crash is related to a display, the suspect will be a third party app that deals with displays. I think in exactly the same lines whenever such a thing happens. :)
These DCPEXT issues date back to the first Apple Silicon Macs. It seems Apple still could not resolve all these issues even though the DCP's formware/rtOS is being tweaked all the time. My experience is that Sonoma actually made things worse (as I mentioned, I can replicate the DCP error issue anytime by simply playing a video on a screen A and use accessibility zoom on screen B, the bug is probably related to the way Sonoma changed how multi-monitor zoom works. The same thing happens on M1, M2, M3, completely unrelated systems/installations. Also, many displays that work fine on PCs (or Intel Macs) produce all kinds of connection/sleepwake/no-signal etc issues on Apple Silicon Macs. There are many other display related bugs as well (obviously I came across these heavily).
Let's hope Apple will eventually find a way to fix all these problems, it is (or it began) as a computer maker company after all. :)

Wow! Even more insightful! Yeah, those are some great findings on this issue. I feel definitely "in-the-know" now haha. Gosh, this explains a lot of my issue at the moment. This issue...it's so out there too, in terms of my experience with past macOS versions. I've never had anything this bizarre. Oh well... I guess we'll see if this gets adressed.

UPDATE:
New Sonoma 14.4.1 just released which apparently adresses many issues with Audio Unit validation, USB hubs, Java, and external displays. I'll report back if this kernel panic keeps happening. :_) So far, so good.

Any news on this? I am getting the same issue with Kontakt 7 on M2 Max MacBook Pro connected to LG UltraFine display via USB-C.

Yes. Still crashing. I think I also got the same crash with Guitar Rig 6 few days ago.

Is this issue related to AU plug-ins? Your problem sounds a bit different than mine. Have you updated everything in Native Access 2?

Hmm, that's not good. :( I'm not sure what the solution would be. Earlier in this thread I mention setting the NI windows to 100% zoom by default which seems to help. There's zoom issues with external displays. If you're issue is kernel panic on your MBP, I would recommend contacting Apple support as they can get you in with an advisor for your specific issue. Make sure you save all your crash logs if possible.
