Kontakt doesn't start neither in DAW nor as a standalone
Kontakt does not start. FL studio cannot validate VSTs of Kontakt and the standalone application provides just blank error message. Tried to reinstall several times, I have even made a reset of Windows 10 but it didn't help.
I have also tried different versions (6.4.2 , 6.6.0 and 6.7.1), all of them do not work.
This start of the Kontakt does not create database in %localappdata% location
When I try debug Kontakt with Visual Studio,I get such exception:
Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFF93AD4F69 in Kontakt.exe: Microsoft C++ exception: boost::filesystem::filesystem_error at memory location 0x000000000014F5D0.
So, it means that it has some problems in creating folders, opening files etc. Start of the Kontakt as Administrator did not help
I have written directly to support but there is still no reply.
Other NI products (Guitar Rig and Massive) work fine as standalone and as VST.
I ask you to help me in the recovery of the Kontakt 😫

Hey @FatCat Have you tried resetting the database as explained in this article ?
Reinitialize the KONTAKT Database
- Click on the Windows start button on the bottom left of your screen.
- Type "%localappdata%" and click on the option which appears.
- Navigate to the Native Instruments folder.
- Then, depending on the KONTAKT version you are using, delete the following folder:
- KONTAKT 5: "Kontakt 5" or
- KONTAKT 6: "Kontakt"
