Komplete Kontrol Presets Missing
I am honestly getting so sick and tired of this from native instruments. i paid over 1000 dollars for my komplete kontrol keyboard and libraries... why do my presets disappear randomly when i turn my computer back on, and the only fix I've found is to reinstall my 200gbs of sounds... this has happened THREE times now. i rescan on the komplete kontrol app, as well as loading up native access first before going into my daw. this is absolutely garbage... i have a big studio session in an hour and none of my sounds are working. i would honestly have much more harsh words if i wasnt worried about getting banned or not getting a response. absolutely ridiculous. all these problems started when i started using an SSD to store my libraries. you have no problem taking our money but cant fix a simple problem people have been complaining about for years.... literally on youtube theres videos talking about this issue from THREE YEARS AGO. and you still havent fixed it?

There are no Komplete Kontrol Libraries - I presume you mean Kontakt? Or maybe Massive or Massive X? Generally with NI products you always scan them in the standalone of the app they are for first (Massive X being an exception as there is only a plugin so you scan them there), before Komplete Kontrol

I am sure that N.I, is very appreciative that you being civil and all , Thank you ! Your frustration is very understandable and I am sure that N.I. will do it's best to assist you. In your frustration you did not give all the vital information such as computer type and OS version and you haven't told what DAW you use or it's version or all the versions of N.I: software in question , Native Access, Komplete Kontrol !. Also , just in case , what is your specific N.I. keyboard model ?
With the type of problems that you list then I think that you need to contact support ! But in the mean time I will also call for @Jeremy_NI to assist , he is the resident customer care person and also a Mac and DAW expert ! So please also list the information requested for Jeremy_NI to take a look at !

did you not see me say i already scanned them? and yeah i obviously meant kontakt libraries... you use them in komplete kontrol as well without the need of kontakt, therefore they are also libraries for komplete kontrol. anyways thanks for being a smart ass and not helping in anyway, i already scanned them like i said

my daw is logic pro but its irrelevant cause the libraries dont even show up in the komplete kontrol stand alone app. im using logic pro and the latest update and have been on this update for a while... either way i didnt update my OS for 2 years and it still had this exact same issue. thanks for your response i appreciate it, hope you have a good day

Well some of what was asked is very relevant..regardless of DAW.
The model of keyboard is important because the MK2 is different internally from the MK3 and can use different versions of Komplete Kontrol than does the MK3 which has some fairly strict requirements on the version of KK but also on some of the libraries because it's new. In fact some of the libraries may not even show up in an MK3 keyboard in KK if they're not compliant with the design of the new KK even though they'll all show up in Kontakt. Beyond that there are some very specific anomalies often associated with your operating system and it's version that might be relevant.
And changing to SSD from traditional storage is no problem as long as you did it through Native Access and followed the specific guidelines for such things as documented by NI on their web site. I'm very familiar with such things because I've been moving my libraries around for the last 3 days trying to organize them and optimize my usage of disk space and everything continues to work perfectly.
I realize you're frustrated but there are a lot of us around here that probably have similar setups to you and are not having any of the problems you're describing so it helps for us to know those details in order to pull from our specific experiences to help you. You're going to end up providing these details whether it's to other users or NI moderators or tech support if you want to figure out what's going wrong.

yeah 3 days it will work, watch what happens in a year youre going to run into problems. it will work for long periods of time but then every few months or so it does this, im on a mk2 keyboard. you think your an expert because you did somethign for 3 days lmao ive done this for years theres definitely problems... thats why theres countless youtube videos about this exact issue

As I said the libraries will be for Kontakt and other plugins, there are no libraries specifically for Komplete Kontrol as it's just a plugin host. So they need to be scanned into the databases of the plugins and apps they are for first.

I guess I should have expected a response of this nature from someone with only 3 posts and is now an expert on Native Instruments operations. This isn't my first rodeo, nor is my first NI keyboard. I actually have two right now. A 49 key MK2 that's operated perfectly for 4 years and a brand new 99 key MK3 that's operated now for almost two months. There are countless videos on the problem because there are countless people that jump to the conclusion something is wrong with their unit and its because of the manufacturer not because of their inadequacies. Sometimes that's true, but there are a LOT more of us that first jump to the conclusion we're not understanding something and ONLY after doing extensive research and dismissing all other possibilities come to the conclusion there might be a bug. I've found them and reported them and they've gotten fixed.
By the way the 3 days referred only to my latest process of re-organizing the storage of my 7 TB of Kontakt (and other vendors) libraries and has nothing to do with how long my new equipment has been working and producing new projects. It's not the first time I've done such a thing. But given your lack of attention to reading and comprehension, I'm pretty convinced your problems are self-inflicted.

I've done this for over a decade man, I know exactly what I am doing, no problems like you describe at all but I always take care and do backups just in case... I mean, what professional wouldn't make sure they are prepared?
I'm also past helping irate ranting users who don't even bother to post the OS, Software, Details of what they use then attack good users who ask. We understand things in life can be frustrating sometimes, but if you are going to vent it on others, be prepared to solve your problems alone.

@THE FLIPPA I would definitely recommend to contact our support and see/understand whay this is happening on your system. I didn't find any support request of yours, did you contact us when this happened in the past or recently? There is no specific issue or bug we are aware of that would cause these symptoms. If you have links of threads or videos that you mention, we could have a look. A more detailed description of what happens exactly would also be helpful, especially for my colleagues when you contact them. Here's the direct link: https://bit.ly/NI_support_Kontrol Please include the result of our support tool, this will help making this faster.
