Im trying to use some of the new instruments in Kontakt (Upgraded from 11 ultimate) but it's telling me I need the latest version of Kontakt yet in Native Access there is no updates for Kontakt. How do I use these instruments?
Are you on Native Access 2? Because the new trend is NA hiding the products that it retains not compatible with the OS (Hayo said “to avoid support some tickets”). Except then discovering, if you find a way to install it anyway (e.g. through NA 1) that they do work on that OS…
Quite worrying trend, imo… specially because they are working to remove NA 1…
This was it. When I upgraded to 14 CE I hit install all on Native Access and it didn't install Kontakt 7. It was in the middle of everything not yet installed. Even using the search function didn't show me Kontakt 7.

You have very poor reading comprehension skills.
And this is clear?
"When I used the search function nothing showed up for Kontakt 7, but when I manually searched it I found it “hiding” among the rest of the products I own.
So, you "searched" for it (with a tool) - nothing came back.
But when you "searched" for it (manually - whatever that means) you magically found it "hiding" out there.
Wow.

This isn’t the gotcha you think it is. Another user had the same issue. Just an overlooked design flaw by NI, but please continue to embarrass yourself.
Fair enough.
And I totally get it for the old stuff like Reaktor 5 - but it seems a little far-fetched to automatically assume this same logic applies to Kontakt 7? On Sonoma?
I was answering to the fact he said NA isn’t showing his Kontakt 5 and Kontakt (6). I never automatically assumed anything else
BTW: I even don’t “totally get it” since by reverting to NA 1 the user in the other thread was able to install and use his Reaktor 5, despite NA 2 was hiding it because “incompatible” with his OS (and all of this just to avoid some support tickets…they say…)
And I read this (based on the thread title "Not the Latest Version of Kontakt" ) to mean he could not locate OR get Kontakt 7 (part of his K14 Collectors Edition) to install even after clicking Install All.
Then found it "hiding" out there somewhere in the product listings.
Most confusing thread ever.
Not to contradict you, but the fact you are confused doesn’t mean the thread is confused
You didn’t understood something, started analyzing things based on your misunderstanding and that made some confusion in the thread. It happens ☺️
Well - this thread title pretty much says it all:
Have 14 Komplete Collector's Edition but not the latest version of Kontakt?
Not confused - at all.
No reference to K5 or K6 whatsoever - so the "latest" must = K7.
They didn’t read the initial post and the few following it. Just jumped right in. I recently made some massive upgrades. 2015 imac->customized Mac Studio, NI komplete 11 ult-> 14 CE, 8 eastwest libraries, nexus 4, 4 impact soundworks libraries, ableton live 9->11, UAD ultimate 12 w/ an octo dsp accelerator, ujam guitar bundle. So far the only issue I had was Kontakt 7. Which is a miracle because the last time I did this so much failed.
Usually the story of a book is narrated by all the chapters it is composed of, not only its title.
Anyway…I think we all understood each other now, isn’t it? ☺️
OK, OP was not able to find Kontakt 7 in NA2 because there is too much plugins....
And what about to click applications tab? There is less than 20 items. Easy to find Kontakt 7.
That didn’t work. I only found it by going through all where kontakt 5 and kontakt 6 is listed.
"That didn’t work. I only found it by going through all where kontakt 5 and kontakt 6 is listed."
Clicking Applications = works 100% here.
Every Kontakt version that I have in my NI acct is listed there (including 5, 6 and 7) - whether they are Installed (or not)
Which still makes me think there is something else going on here.
So…are Kontakt 5 and Kontakt 6 listed or not?
