Im trying to use some of the new instruments in Kontakt (Upgraded from 11 ultimate) but it's telling me I need the latest version of Kontakt yet in Native Access there is no updates for Kontakt. How do I use these instruments?

What's your operating system? What version of Kontakt have you installed? Do you get this message when opening Kontakt in your DAW? In Kontakt in standalone? What DAW is it?

Ableton 9 standard. OS is 14.3.1. I used Native access to install and update everything onto the new computer. I have both Kontakt 5 and one that just says Kontakt but Native access isnt showing either.

Are you on Native Access 2? Because the new trend is NA hiding the products that it retains not compatible with the OS (Hayo said “to avoid support some tickets”). Except then discovering, if you find a way to install it anyway (e.g. through NA 1) that they do work on that OS…

Quite worrying trend, imo… specially because they are working to remove NA 1…

Those two Kontakt flavours are clearly "5" and the one with no numerical designate is Kontakt 6. Neither of these will have any updates via Native Access.

But I do not understand what this means:

"I have both Kontakt 5 and one that just says Kontakt but Native access isn't showing either"

You have them "where"? Installed previously? Installed from the current instance of Native Access?

And what exactly does "Native Access isn't showing either" even mean?

Need to clarify exactly what you have installed/not installed to properly figure what is going on.

This was it. When I upgraded to 14 CE I hit install all on Native Access and it didn't install Kontakt 7. It was in the middle of everything not yet installed. Even using the search function didn't show me Kontakt 7.

I found it. It was hiding in native access. When I hit install for everything it didn't install Kontakt 7. It wasn't even on the list.

Apologies - but still are not following you.

    What was "hiding"?

What does "hit Install for everything" mean?

I'm going to apologize in advanced if this sounds rude, but have you actually used Native Access? I have attached a screen shot of Native Access in case it's your first time seeing it or my english was not clear enough.

Been using it since day 1. No offense intended.

But your "steps" and the use of the word "hidden" make no sense.

There is no concept whatsoever of "hiding" anything in Native Access.

Everything you have in your NI Acct - can be installed OR ignored but never hidden. You can install (or NOT install Kontakt 7) with a single click.

But you have not shown us anything to indicate whether you are catching on this most basic advice.

    A sentence like this:

" I have both Kontakt 5 and one that just says Kontakt but Native access isnt showing either"

Makes no sense at all. Respectfully.

It makes absolute sense. I am telling you that I have Kontakt 5 and one that just says Kontakt but doesnt indicate whether it is 6 or 7 and they are not showing in Native Access. If that doesn't make sense to you please do not give advice. As user Lostinfoundation read that and inferred what the issue was and actually supplied the correct advice for this situation. "Hiding" means it was buried within the contents of Native Access. Why would I hit install all but Native Access installed everything except Kontakt 7? That doesn't make sense.

Screenshot would help immensely in this case.

Please show me the "Kontakt" area in Native Access - where you see K5 and K6 installed.

And yes - LostInFoundation has some great advice - and yes - I understand that NI is working on making NA a bit smarter in its ability to "hide" products that are not compatible - but I am not aware of this functionality being available as of today. If this was the case - no Mac Sonoma user would ever see Kontakt 7 and that is not what is happening.

Kontakt 7 runs fine in Somoma (14.3.1) and should appear for you in NA - like it does for everyone else.

Unluckily, this is not true anymore.

As per words of Hayo itself, NA2 is now hiding the content it retains not compatible with the OS, as I wrote in my previous post

This is big news - where exactly did you read this?

Still makes no sense for the OP - if NA was suddenly blocking Kontakt 7 on Sonoma (as of this moment) - how did thousands of others possibly install it?

Unless some new fangled NA version that I do not have - just came down the pipe while I was typing this?

You are taking the word Hiding too literal. I hit install all, everything except Kontakt 7 installed (why? I dont know). When I used the search function nothing showed up for Kontakt 7, but when I manually searched it I found it “hiding” among the rest of the products I own.

So you are good? Or not good?

And if you did find it "lurking" out there - that nullifies what LostInFoundation was reporting.

Again, I am happy to be wrong but I am not aware of NA doing any sort of advanced "filtering" to restrictnt specific products from being installed based in the OS in use.

Thousands of users have installed Kontakt 7 via Native Access in Sonoma to this point.
