They don't work for me either. Maybe it's a Mac issue

Hi @spicemix I'm new here and just getting set up with a second-hand Maschine studio. I tried looking for this hack from Jester but he has over 2000 posts. I couldn't find it. Please could you share the link to it here?
Many thanks! 🙂

Many thanks for the quick reply mate! Looking forward to setting up my Maschine Studio this morning!

I found the problem. It is not exactly a Mac issue but it is because Mac path locations are different than Windows, and inside all those .nksf presets it is embedded the Windows path. If you open any preset with a text editor you can see for yourself.
Code is like this (i marked the Windows path):
@Mercury did them in Windows, so what Mac users need, is a good NKS creator (such as @Kymeia) with a Mac computer, to re-save them and make them compatible to Mac. 🙂
Alternate solution: If any of you can save just one preset and send it here, so i can see the code and find the equal part for the Mac path location, i may try a "mass-code-rename" all at once, with Notepad++. Though i can't guarantee 100% that it will work.

That’s odd it doesn’t usually matter if they are saved on Mac or PC or what the path is so why is this happening now?

I checked Axxess, Minimonsta and OB-X.
They do not include this "OS specific" path, thus they work on both platforms.
This OB-EZ, is the first GForce plugin with such behavior, but i have seen it elsewhere too, rarely though.

Hi,
I´m on a Mac mini....Sonoma 14.2.1! The path for the patches is:
path="/Library/Application Support/GForce/OB-EZ/Patches/Ooo-berheim Poly V2.gforce
Hope this helps! Thanks!

ok, i will give it a try and see if my workaround is possible, or if the presets must remade from a MAC

@Kymeia Hi,
Trying the UAD spark subscription I tried the UAD Nks files in the NKS user dropbox. All the work done is fine overall (except personal esthetic considerations maybe) though the Manley Passive EQ and Studer A800 presets are not working on my computer. at first I thought I had a problem with VST3 but after reloading the VST3 from plugin folder it worked fine. Looking at the Nks files in an Hex/Text editor reveals why the plugin is bypassed and not working whatsoever . Don't know who made them but doesn't work for me 🤷. I am working on them and redoing them for my own use but if it is in the public folder maybe you can identify whats wrong and why it is not working with your expertise ?

Thanks a lot Sunborn, I have no Mac for testing. Maybe @JesterMgee has identified the issue. His product is sold as compatible with windows and mac (available demo seem to be only windows compatible).

Rule: If path locations are embedded inside the preset's code, there is no way to be fully compatible, at the same time, for both OS!
They will work of course, but with some limitations, such as those that mentioned above by 3 members.
Thus, it is a great idea to inform developers to stop include path locations in their presets.

Hey, it's not workin here on a Mac M1. The Presets are not Switching inside of the Plugin.

hmm... this was also the "original" problem... on Windows they work fine though
so, someone must try to remake them on Mac to see what is going on... just some of them, to test if the behavior remains the same (which, in this case, will indicate a plugin-Mac-bug)
