Very cool, people have been talking about this for a while now huh? I think I remember Bolo talking about it. Wondering if it's going to be a free upgrade or a paid plugin?

Yeah there's a new Bolo video and an official Akai one with Andy Mac. Just a new feature for the software and hardware OS by the looks of it.
OK latest news, it's a 10 dollar addon according to Accurate Beats.

Such feature will never-ever be available on M+. They are not even able to make Stop button behave properly

Is this done locally on MPC unit or its online feature? Didn't quite get in from video and judjing by model of processor inside MPC i'd suppose it is some kind of online service.

Maschine needs AI Stems.
Traktor needs AI Stems (I remember them being too ahead of the game with non-AI stems)
It's a no-brainer at this point.

Quite opposite, i would much prefer if NI fixed bugs and improved overall workflow for M+. Such steam separation could be done with some existing free online service. One do not need to separate new stem every 5 minutes, but bugs and workflow omissions are all still present.

The MPC processor is pretty beefy considering the device. Here's Bolo's video on it, he cuts out how long it took, simply saying "Well that didn't take too long" and that it works on every MPC device so I would be inclined to think it's probably not a service?

For what it's worth: Koala sampler ($10 android/ios app) has stem separation. lol. Doing a 20 second clip from a song took about 20 seconds on my Oneplus N30 (i.e. not a high end phone).
I don't personally care about this feature, but I don't think M+ is going to be too weak for the way it's being implemented in all of these different tools.

Have you tried disabling internet connection during that? 😀 I think that such task is quite computation-intensive and it is not possible to perform it in reasonable time on mobile processor. But i would be glad to be mistaken

A great way to point the work of NI on Maschine.
Probably I would love to have 20 other new features than STEMS ... that really miss in Maschine workflow. But this is a good way to see how fast NI is developing to Maschine products. A year (or more), to see VST3 on maschine. And nothing more.
Guys! You really need to work fast / with new great features. Akai goes faster and very very well!
