i actually managed to connect cdj 850 to tractor but the issue i am having is:

to redirect CDJ to DECK C or D because it is connecting to A so it wan to use already busy port by scratch deck A .

tryied change on CDJ midi settings,

also in tractor settings

CAN SOME ONE HELP ?

followed this instruction :

cant post link so adding description

The CDJ-850 is equipped with a computer control mode that allows DJ software developed by other companies to be controlled upon connecting the Multi Player to a computer with a USB cable. Pioneer provides a dedicated MIDI mapping file for TRAKTOR PRO/PRO 2, a DJ software product from Native Instruments. By using this file, you can control TRAKTOR PRO/PRO 2 from the Multi Player. You can also use the Multi Player as a TRAKTOR PRO/PRO 2 audio output device.

Sounds like an issue with Input Routing, Channels 5 and 6. Can you post som e screenshots of your audio device settings in Traktor?

Can't you select what deck the CDJ controls on the device itself? At least that is how it works on modern CDJs.

Just to be sure we understand, is the problem that

    • You want to control deck C with the CDJ, or
    • you want deck C audio out of the CDJ?

i want to use |cdj as deck C with my tractor .

on cdj i chose MIDI 3 canal ,that should reflect assignment to deck C.

so my goal is 2 deck + cdj as 3rd deck

It's a bit difficult to understand the problem.

Audio works as expected, but pressing buttons on the CDJ does not control deck C? Does it control another deck?

Yes, i could set the cd to control A or B .

but then i cant use my 2 turntables .

so i see to options which i dont know how to set up.

either leave cd on deck A/B but then redirect one of the decks to C

or make, somehow, cdj work on deck C not interrupting work of 2 scratch control decks .

    hope this is clear?

Ah ok. I think I understand now.

Like you said, you selected midi channel 3. That is good.

And if you press a button on the CDJ does the midi symbol light up in traktor? Somewhere on the top.

    -----------------

If we can't figure it out you can just use the CDJ for deck a and use deck c for scratching.

When audio is not the problem, let´s not touch your normal audio setup and routings.

The problem is your cdj does not (midi) control deck C and/or D in the software, although it can control deck A and B?

Like lord-carlos already asked, does the midi symbol light up, when midi channel 3 is selected on the cdj? It's the top left icon in Traktor and should glow up whenever Traktor receives a midi message.

If the cdj is not sending midi on channel 3, maybe a re-install of the cdj´s firmware could resolve the issue.

Some additional thoughts/questions to locate the problem.

In picture #4 set "in-port" and "out-port" to your cdj and "device target" to "deck C".

Is your cdj mapping from the pioneer website? Did you try/import other mappings? (.tsi-files)

Are there more than one midi mapping active for the cdj? This could cause conflicts. To "de-activate" a mapping, select the conflicting mapping and set "in-port" and "out-port" to "none".

Can you make a screenshot of "preferences" -> "Controller Manger" -> "Device" (with all devices (mappings) listed)?
