The Guitar Rig 7.0.2 update brings macOS Sonoma compatibility and has been released yesterday. You can install the update via Native Access.

KOMPLETE AUDIO 6 works sometimes with Sonoma. Every once in a while, the OS says it has removed the driver from the computer. Tomorrow, it will probably work again. Well, that's better than my Steinberg audio devices, none of which work at all on Sonoma.

Hello talented people!
Currently got a new Mac, but not sure if I should upgrade my software to Sonoma just yet.
I know the support site has compatibility updates, just not sure if "Native Access" being okay on the list, means everything within it will work.
Anyone have experience with this?
Cheers

Hi @Vibewith13
only the software listed in this overview is guaranteed to work with macOS 14 (Sonoma) at this point.
So not everything that you can install through Native Access is guaranteed to work at this point in time.

Hi,
just a note, im running Sonoma and can run GR7 thru my DAW but not in standalone mode. I can run GR6 in both DAW and standalone. Im using a 2018 MacBook Pro with a Focusrite Scarlett solo 3rd gen audio interface.

What exactly is the issue? Does GR7 crash, no sound etc...?
I've been running it on Sonoma well before the "Sonoma" update and have not had any issues in DAW or standalone mode.

nah doesn't crash, runs fine, but no sound. like there's no signal coming in at all. all the settings are the same as with GR6 that does run fine in either DAW or standalone modes.

And I'm assuming you've set the proper audio device, inputs and outputs in GR7?

When can we expect an update to all modules to be compatible? 😭 Been dying to update my computer for work purposes

I am also biding my time until Kontakt is guaranteed to work with Sonoma. I have been monitoring the compatibility list from Sweetwater and most if not all of my Plugins are now able to work with it apart from NI. So many of my Plugins are accessed through Kontakt I can't take the chance of it not working for me, so I think patience is the key here however frustrating that can be. I am reading a lot of posts of people only having a few issues here and there, so it's very tempting. Thanks for all the info above, I am glad to have joined this community.

Same here @Thomasp , I’ve been wanting to upgrade my computer but can’t take the chance of investing so much in a new machine and not being able to run k7…
really hoping that NI team can provide an update soon, Sonoma has now been out for more than 6 months!

Working fine here for several months on M2 Studio Ultra. Only minor issue I have with NI is audio previews don't work in Kontakt. As far as "guaranteed to work" goes, well I'd argue that nothing except very expensive industrial equipment (ie power plants, the space shuttle) is "guaranteed to work." To that point lots of people are happily running Sonoma without issues. The audio preview issue is related to the Ultra, and not Sonoma.
