Coming up next for MASCHINE and MASCHINE+

Is UHS-II really supported in the Maschine+? I read in another forum that the additional pins required for UHS-II are not available in the +.

Thanks for this ,
I always wondered whether it was me also. I just by chance found that clicking volume or swing was a workaround for this bug.

Damn, I'm not sure but I would guess that it isn't. I mean, it may work just not at the UHS-II speeds. I wasn't aware that UHS-II had additional pins as all the images on amazon are of the top side. Glad I didn't get one if I cant use it. Guess I am stuck with 170MB/s.

If you have that kind if need for speed why not go USB? A PCIe drive would be perhaps 10x-20x faster than the best SD cards no?
im not sure what version of USB Maschine+ has but it has to be at least 3.0?

This is out of my lane, but USB isn't capable of PCIe correct? Only thunderbolt. Also, can we even stream from a USB drive yet on Maschine +/. 170MB/s is fast enough for now. I was able to load a multi sample instrument with 294 samples of 14s length in less than 25s. That is over 1hr of 24bit audio...not too bad.

Ay, my bad, I meant NVMe...
Anyone know the spec of the USB ports on the Maschine+?

Cool! Glad to hear upgrading your SD card improved matters. I think it would be interesting to have a separate thread about various SD cards and their performance differences with Maschine+. Getting the best possible card for M+ is theoretically an inexpensive upgrade.

It's already been too long in my opinion, unfortunately early mid March is gone sometime ago. 😏

Is this something that is added by user? Or Part of the update?
I was hoping for something like this, Reaktor Blocks in maschine + 😍

He said the update was pushed back a week. The beta version is available.

You have a good point. I'm tired of influencers who use Maschine only for promotion and never use it again. Yea like the Blezz beats guy (purples), he at least uses it.

Blezz is really good. Explains in a very good way.

Ya num say.

I've asked many times but NI seems to avoid a real answer so I assume it's because the SD Reader uses a USB2 connection, a bit disappointing.
UHS-II is supported in the sense that it works (afaik) because it's backward compatible but those cards high speeds won't run that fast anyway if the reader is USB2, no point in buying a 300 MB/s super expensive card when the speed is capped at 60 MB/s.
NVME uses an M.2 connector, to get the full speed it needs to be connected internally, if it's on an external enclosure it will be limited to the USB speed. NVME SSD's have a speeds between 2500 MB/S to 6000 MB/S give or take, mega fast but again it makes no sense to use it with USB-2 capped at 60 MB/s.
He also has one of the best MPC VS Maschine workflow comparisons I've ever seen.

Yeah I meant a fast USB drive with NVMe internally like this SanDisk drive that cites speeds of up to 1,050MB/s read/write:
If it's true that those USB ports just 2.0 then of course that's overkill... But if they were some kind of 3+ then perhaps not? But as you say, I suppose NI is mum on the matter, it's probably 2...
