Saving user midi templates Kontrol S Mk3

Is there no way make and save some user presets for the midi mode maps (like it was with mk2 controllers in KK 2?

    As this is not a widely used feature, we had to deprioritise for the initial launch.

    That said, those people who do use it (myself included!) need it. It is already being worked on and will ship in a free update most likely in the first half of next year.

    ... and I also miss the Keyboard splitting options very much 🙄 - any chance that might come back too?!?

    Would it be nice to split in the midi settings of the device! I guess that really would (and should) be possible!

    You do it via Komplete Kontrol for the series II (in KK 2.9 and 3) but I don't have a series III yet so am not sure. I checked the video on the site and at the moment it just looks like you can just setup the colour, turn lightguide on and off and configure pedals on device.

    … I have the kontrol S 61 and its not possible in the device settings, and neither via Kk 3.0 😟

    It has been deprioritised by NI (their own words). They are planning to put this functionality back in first half of 2024. I am honestly beyond amazed.

    Yes.. seems a lot will fall under the "Play Assist" capabilities that needs to be "unlocked" by a future firmware update.

    I would have thought this would have been ready at initial release... but no.

    Early 2024 is the current prediction ... I hope this is cautious and reality is that it will happen sooner.

    My speculation is that "Play Assist" is going to be an area ripe for future evolution, so getting a proper technical foundation added to its complexity and a reason it wasn't ready for October release.

    Deeper speculation even imagines that some form of "Maschine Integration" could fall under "Play Assist" rather than some future DAW mode.

    And further down the line - the ability to go into inserts and sends and adjust individual fx plugin parameters (and automation) - that would be excellent.

    Currently in Beta should be released when it's determined as stable and ready for production.
