Komplete Kontrol (or Kontakt) keeps inserting unwanted reverb

I have Alicia's Keys loaded up in Komplete Kontrol with the "Dry" preset. If I leave it and come back later, it always has a reverb effect even though it shows it is still on the dry preset. I have to load another preset then come back to the dry one to get it to reset. Does anyone know why this happens and how to avoid it? It appears to be a bug. Btw, since Komplete Kontrol loads it in Kontakt when it loads an instrument I'm not sure which is causing it.

    Hello,

do you use a DAW, if yes, which one, and have you tried it with stand alone komplete kontrol.

@Joe Cotter What keyboard are you using? The On/Off for the reverb is assigned by default to the 1st knob of the Komplete Kontrol keyboard. Check the MIDI preferences (the MIDI logo) to see if there is any unwanted MIDI assignment to the 1st button of the keyboard or the 1st button of the Komplete Kontrol application if you are not using a Komplete Kontrol keyboard.

I am using a kk keyboard but that knob hasn't been turned up any time this happened. It was one of the things I checked, which is why I'm so baffled. If I load another preset then go back to the original it clears up (no reverb) but I'm at a loss as to why it happens in the first place. Also, this happens if I have it loaded up in stand-alone KK, Kontakt, or in Ableton Live. It's funny btw. I have this happen with multiple instruments but this is the one I use the most (Alicia's Keys) and that specific preset, so your image perfectly matches my situation more often than not.

@Joe Cotter Ok, so it's happening in Kontakt in standalone as well then. If you check before and after the issue appears, are there any changes to this section and is there any MIDI activity?

Let's go back to the Komplete Kontrol standalone application.

Can you check the MIDI assignments when the keyboard is disconnected, make sure to unassign any CC here by clicking on the x:

Also check the buttons for other unwanted assignments.

Are you using a sustain pedal? If you disconnect the sustain pedal, does that still happen?

Now connect the keyboard and check assignments for that sustain pedal, anything unusual there?

No assignments with keyboard disconnected, connected: before and after started getting reverb/echo... but... going through pages and checking caused the reverb to start then stop even without clicking on anything other than going through the Midi assignment pages (or settings pages, not sure which triggered it on/off.)

Can you reproduce the issue when the keyboard is not connected. Do you use a sustain pedal? Do you have any other MIDI devices connected?

Can you post screenshots of the MIDI assignments (keyboard disconnected) for the knobs and the buttons?

I haven't been using a sustain pedal and the midi assignments are all default of nothing both with/without keyboard connected. I'm basically just using the software to load up a piano, leaving all settings on default and playing. I get up for a cup of tea and come back and it's like that. No sustain, no changes other than selecting a preset in the vst. Multiple (NI Native) instruments are doing it so it's not just with one instrument.

This was marked as answered when it clearly wasn't. I don't appreciate lazy help desk trying to ignore an unanswered question.

Hey @Joe Cotter I'm sorry if I marked this as solved, most probably by accident. EDITED: It seems I have missed your last comment in this thread.

If you are still experiencing this issue, feel free to contact our Komplete Kontrol specialists here: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_KKontrol

Thank you, I haven't figured out what causes it but I found that if I shut down the instrument and reload it, it sometimes clears. Other times, I have to shut down the NI software altogether. It is random and I've been working around it but I have not found an answer.
