Your favorite one trick ponies?
Hi folks,
I'd like to create a list of one trick ponies, by which I mean synths or samplers focused on a particular type of sound (e.g. bells, pads, bowed strings, insects). For example, each of Chet Singer's ensembles provide a physical model for a particular instrument or family of instruments Chet Singer | Reaktor User Library (native-instruments.com) and pitchkick PitchKick (previously Sinebeats) | Entry | Reaktor User Library (native-instruments.com) is narrowly focused on kick drums for pystrance. These are the opposite of versatile, do-it-all synths with a million controls. What are your favorite one trick ponies?

I like boscomacs Air Piano a lot. It is not part of the user-library but can be downloaded for free here: http://boscomac.free.fr/
Hmm... He seems to have changed/stripped down his web-site. You have to download all ensembles and there is no dedicated page per ensemble any more. But this is certainly worth a try. I particularly like routing the Air Piano into the Flood Verb, let it all be triggered by generative sequencers like

Thanks @Paule & @Seoman303 . I'm hoping to keep this discussion open so people can add ensembles as they (re)discover them or remember them.

I'm surprised this post hasn't received more attention. Reaktor users usually love to share which ensembles are their favorites in the UL. I wonder if people tend to use workhorse synths over one-trick ponies?
