How to stop sample playback on note-off event (i.e. turn off one-shot playback)

I have a Kontakt instrument (Wave Alchemy Revolution) that plays samples as one-shots, meaning a MIDI note triggers the playback of the entire respective sample, regardless of how long the MIDI note is.

Is there a way for me to set the sample playback mode such that the sample playback ends with the note-off event? I'm asking this independently of the concrete instrument/library.
