M32 mixing in Maschine

I can't seem to find how to use the 8 knobs on the M32 to use as volume/pan control in Maschine software. The FAQ on Native Instruments website says it's possible. Am I missing something?

Good question. I miss more integration between m32 and Maschine software. Buttons are there. It's just only necessary to find a proper combination of them for doing actions in Maschine software.

Currently it is not possible to control the mixer in Maschine with the M32 (nor any of the A series keyboards). It is not referenced in the manual nor the DAW cheat sheet (see: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/keyboards/komplete-kontrol-m32/downloads/)

Rather curious, especially since M32 integration with other DAWs (Logic, Ableton etc.) does include mixer controls in Track mode, but in Maschine the knobs simply do noting in Track mode (nor Ideas mode).

Controlling the mixer with the M32 knobs would be the most common thing one would want to do in either of these modes in Maschine, but instead these knobs are just sitting there for nothing. Being able to control the mixer from the keyboard knobs would be especially useful for owners who use the M32 next to the Maschine Micro (which misses these knobs).

It is possible with the Kontrol S MK2 series keyboards to control the mixer, so it is very puzzling that it is not possible on the A series and M32 keyboards while their knobs have no function whatsoever in relevant modes.

Now that I am looking more carefully, I'm even more puzzled by the lack of Maschine integration with the M32. With the S series MK2, you can select patterns and scenes with the knobs in the 'Ideas' control mode (named 'Scene' on the S series), just as with the Maschine MK3 etc. With the M32 you can only do so with the 4D encoder. Nice that it is possible at all of course, but rather cumbersome to have to use the 4D encoder to select patterns and scenes. Especially compared with using the knobs, which, again, just like in 'Track' control mode, currently have no function whatsoever in the 'Ideas' control mode on the M32.

With such glaring omissions, no wonder Maschine integration with Komplete keyboards is used less than expected…
