Why does only one pad light up when I load drum kits, loops etc in Machine?

Hi, I am a newbie and I am having some issues with Machine Mk 3 When I load up a kit, samples or loops etc only the first pad lights up. I am running a Mac Studio OS Monterey.

Can you please help as to what the issue may be? Record and play are working and it’s in sync with Logic Pro Am I over looking something simple?

@rayjagger This is where to load a kit, it's called a group:

When you load those you get a kit with different sounds on the pads. If you simply load a one shot sample it will load the sample in a sound, if you load a loop, it will load as an audio module.
