    I'm on Windows 11 Pro.

Native Access is a real drag.

All my other Product Installers work flawlessly.

I fixed this by using the sfc /scannow command in the cmd prompt (run as administrator).

So a Windows problem really ! (the sfc used to do the sfc /scannow is a Windows system files checker tool) !

Thank you very much for being so kind and caring enough as to come back to share your resolution ! 🙂

Mine just started to download at a different time.

I did do a restart also.. So maybe that was it?

    All is good now.

MY original post about this was back in 2022 and this still issue comes and goes for me. Most recently, I have newly reformatted my Windows 11 PRO system complete with a fresh install of Native Access and all my content. Oddly enough Infamous Flow just refused to install. A week later, I tried again and it installed normally yet I didn't change a thing. This issue had to come from NI back end and I think that frustration is being experienced by many others as well. Very odd indeed.

Hi, I am getting this error on Retro Machines 2 on MacOS. I've had other updates install with no issues, but this ones seems to be stubborn.

I have the same problem to donwload Requiem Professional, Stradivari Violin, Piano Colors, Noire, The Grandeur, and Session Horns Pro, always this error message "Download Failed", even if I copy/paste the download content in new folder in disk C:, (SSD M.2)  no working, in internal D: (SSD) no working, in internal K: (SSD M.2), no working, in external by USB (HDD) no working. What do I need to do? What is the solution?

Add me to the list of having problems…I get "Invalid Download Location" which is a crock because it does exist and yes it's on my C: drive. And now NA won't even let me edit the various file locations wtfo?? Can someone please fix this "new and improved" thing once and for all?

What I can't understand in all this is the absolute silence of Native Instruments...Why don't they activate a solution? Maybe download like in the old days, since NA doesn't work? We are entitled to updates since we purchased the software.

I think I found the solution (on Apple OS Sonoma 14.6.1) for the NA 2 "installation failed" error. This is the procedure that worked for me: I opened NA 2 and started the download/upgrade procedure, in this case, of Kontakt 7.10.6. As you start the download from NA 2 in the system download folder you see 2 documents: Kontakt_7_Installer.dmg and Kontakt_7_Installer.dmg.aria2. The first thing I do is move the Kontakt_7_Installer.dmg file to the desktop. Then I create an alias (with Symbolic Link) of Kontakt_7_Installer.dmg that is on the desktop and move that alias to the system download folder and rename the alias exactly like the original: Kontakt_7_Installer.dmg. When the download is finished and NA 2 gives the usual error, the Kontakt_7_Installer.dmg file on the desktop is not deleted (as it happens if it remains in the download folder) and so I can install it manually without any problem. I hope it works for you too!

To solve Download Failed using the latest NI installer Oct 2024, I deleted it and installed the older legacy v 1.10 found at the below. Now things are installing it seems.

Has anyone found a fix for this? I'm getting this download error and I don't know how to fix it. I purchased Kontakt 8 for $299 and I can't use it.

Here's a weird fix that seems to have worked. I'm on MAC m1 OS 13.7.1 Ventura

I've been trying to install Action Strings 2 to my NI Libraries folder on my sample drive and getting the Installation failed Error.

    1. Created a folder on my sample drive called "Action Strings 2" and set that as the target in Native Access/Preferences/File Management.
    2. Installation began as normal.
    3. Deleted that target folder and changed target back to my NI Libraries folder.

Install worked as normal. Other libraries that were throwing the Installation failed Error now install as well.

BTW estimated download time is slewing all over the place, but mostly in the 20 hours+ range for 31 GB. (Speedtest shows my download speed above 700 Megabits.) Prolly a zillion people that bought Komplete 15 on special all hitting the servers at the same time. Happy New Year😁
