Maschine drum pads -> Logic Pro drum machine designer. Any tips?

I’m trying to use my maschine drum pads directly through Logic Pro drum machine designer. Any tips? Also can I record the midi from the pads directly into the Logic DAW rather that the maschine DAW?

    You can put Maschine into MIDI controller mode and work Logic, not sure about setting up a mapping as it's a while since I tried.
