New Factory Library 2 Orchestral Bank Hanging Notes
Hello,
I am getting hanging notes in the new Orchestral Bank of the new Factory Library 2 in Kontakt 7. All other banks work perfectly. This is only occurring in the Orchestral Bank.
I've tried three different keyboard controllers and three different sustain pedals but still the hanging notes.
Does anyone have suggestions on this?
Thank you!

Yeah it's likely a scripting issue in the way the KFL2 Orchestral bank handles sustain pedal.

I'll report the bug to the team.

It's a scripting issue, it would be the same in KK.

I'm happy to report that with updating the Factory Library to it's latest version and going to Kontakt 8 the hanging MIDI notes problem is gone!

Hey @Filmaker I couldn't reproduce the issue, is this in Kontakt 7 in standalone ? In the Komplete Kontrol plug-in ? In a DAW ? What DAW are you using in this case ? Can you descrtibe step by step the events leading to the issue ? On what instruments in this Orchestral Bank can you reproduce it ?

Hi,
This is in Kontakt 7 standalone, also in Digital Performer and Logic Pro X.
I just load load a file from the Orchestral Bank, like say Violas, Violins, Celli, or in the Brass Bank...Horns Ens. and I get hanging notes when using sustain pedal all the time every time, rendering the Orchestral Bank unusable for me, which is particularly disturbing because for me it is the best bank in the whole new library.

And what models of keyboards and sustain pedals are you using?

Roland Fantom 8
Yamaha Motif 7
Even the classic Kurzweil K2000
with their respective company's sustain pedals
Remember, this is ONLY occurring with the Kontakt Factory 2 Orchestral Bank
I have lots of virtual instruments, including Omnisphere, Keyscape, Arturia Synth Collection, Ample Sound Guitars, Superior Drummer, and many more and there is no midi note hanging problem with ANY of them

Could you please post a MIDI file that reproduces the issue for you?

Question to EvilDragon,
Would you than open the MIDI file in Kontakt 7 on your end?
I saved it as a MIDI file, recording it in Logic Pro X, but obviously you can't hear it correctly unless it's played back by Kontakt 7 using the same sound I used, which is Orchestral Bank >Strings> Violas?
Just checking before I post it

I tried to upload the MIDI FILE but got a message saying the uploaded did not have an allowed extension.

Then you can zip it and post it.

Silly that I didn't think of that. Thank you
I recorded using Logic Pro X and Kontakt's Factory 2 Orchestral Bank>Strings> VIOLAS.
It's 16 measures and just let it keep playing past the 16th measure to hear the stuck MIDI notes keep going forever.

@EvilDragon Could you have a look?

Can confirm the issue. It's probably related to the sustain pedal handling.

Thank you for your time in investigating this issue!
Are you saying that the "sustain pedal handling" is an acknowledgement that the problem is with the Orchestral Bank itself.
By the way, I can assign this same MIDI file to the Kontakt Library Cinematic Studio Strings, for example, and there are no hanging notes. It plays and sustains perfectly.
