Where is Kontakt 7 database?

Hi there,

I just tried Kontakt 7. It's pretty good, there are good ideas. I've been using Kontakt 6 since release and in all my projects. I have several independent dev sound banks and I ALWAYS use the database.

Is there any way to bring the database back to Kontakt 7?

The database tab has been replaced by the new browser of Kontakt 7:

In the latest release notes for 7, I remember something about they replaced the database icon or option with a manager or something. Easy to find the notes here on the forum.

That's what I understand, but how do people who have banks that are not in native access do? Do I have to navigate between the new browser and the files?

I've just tried following the instructions for How to Add Non-Player Libraries to KONTAKT 7's Browser

If I navigate to the folder with the third party instruments I want (Aaraon Ventures Infinite Brass and Cinematique Instruments Hammered Dulcimer) I just get the option of opening each folder without adding anything. The instruments themselves are greyed out in the opened folder window inside Kontakt 7. There's no way off "adding" them.

Am I missing something or are these libraries not compatible with the browser as advertised?

@Triode There seems to be a misunderstanding. The 2 libraries you mention require Kontakt Full Version:

Please get in touch with these 3rd party manufacturers.

Yes I have the full version of Kontakt 7 (I'm not using the "player" version).

I'm referring to the process described at the link I gave in my post for adding these libraries to the browser. It doesn't seem to work (I can't select a folder via the cog icon and individual instruments are greyed out)
