I own komplete 12, when Komplete 14 was released, Kontakt 7 player showed up in native access. But when I installed it, after installing, it showed success, but suddenly, it is still to be installed in native access, why?
@Stephen Bashaw Please look in the download folder selected in your Native Access's preferences and look for the Kontakt installer. Start the installer form there. Did that work?
The error on the bottom should give the answer. You are running Windows 8.1 (according to your profile), but Kontakt 7 (Player) needs Windows 10 or 11 (latest Service Pack).
Can you install it from this installer: Kontakt 7 Player Windows ?

Hey, this thread looks closest to the problem I'm having. I'm relatively new to this, got Stradivari Violin and Session Strings Pro 2 and installed some stuff and got it working in Ableton. Just got the Harp product and it won't load in Kontakt in Ableton, which made me realize I'm apparently using Kontakt Player 6 in Ableton even though I have Kontakt 7.
I likewise can't find Kontakt Player 7 to install it in Native Access, though it sounds like that's because I have Kontakt 7 itself. But in the Install Paths for Kontakt 7 the only entry is Application Location. Kontakt Player 6, by contrast, has two entries, Application Location and VSTs.
How am I supposed to get a VST for Kontakt 7, so I can use that in Ableton instead?

I just went ahead and uninstalled everything a search for "Native" in "add or remove programs" turns up, and manually deleted the folders with all the plugins and content from my drive. Then I reinstalled Native Access and opened it, and it... automatically opened with my account still logged in and the custom install directories still remembered. So that's... weird and concerning, I was trying to completely wipe so I didn't have any ligering weirdness; is there a way to do that?

Kontakt 6 Player honors custom install dirs and puts the VST in them. Kontakt 7 just... ignores them and puts the VST in the hardcoded default location.
NI... would be cool if this got cleaned up a bunch.
Kontakt 7 is VST3 only, VST3 files are installed in this default location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 This a common convention for all plug-in manufacturers and DAWs.

I'd like to highlight the NOTE of this reply. I had tried all of the above and noticed it was "cleaning up after itself".
I would watch it in the destination folder in one window, with NA in another, once it had moved from "Downloading" to "Installing" I copied it out of that folder to another one, and was able to run the installer this way.

? I'm having the same issue. So are you saying that because I paid for the full version of Kontakt, I'm repaid by no longer being able to use the free Kontakt Player? In other words, I would have been better off by not buying the full version of Kontakt?
@runbrake You're having the same isse? That wiould mean you are unable to install Kontakt Player, it's not the same issue. Kontakt Player or Full is the same software, just the license will change. All our libraries only require the free Player version and some third party libraries will require the full version.

I have Kontakt 14 ultimate , when I bought it I had Win 10 pro. Native access did not showed Kontakt 7 Player . I upgraded to Win 11 pro and even then native access as well is not showing Kontakt 7 player . Why ? any help please
Be sure to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS ,
Then log out of NA and try the following Trouble shooter here : My Products Are Showing As DEMO in Native Access , especially '2. Your activation fails because of corrupted or missing activation tokens' and '3. You have corrupted XML files' (delete both NA XML and offending Kontakt product XML) then restart computer and log in again to see if that helps.
If problem persists then you must contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support !
Thank you for advice yet didn't work out . I did all the steps and no change . Still kontakt 7 player doesn't appear and I can't use 50% of instruments because of lack of upgrade
While waiting for support to an answer your ticket then you can also try using the NATIVE ACCESS 3.8.0 to see if that makes any difference , alas some users have had issues with both NA V. 3.9.0 and NA V. 3.9.1 . If by any chance that it should help then watch out for the NA auto update !
