M+ 4D encoder doesn't react to turning?

Hello,

New to Maschine+, just started learning it. While trying to set the tempo the way described in the manual, I can't actually notice any effect of turning the 4D encoder. Clicking it up/down/left/right and clicking it works just fine but turning it does nothing.

For instance, I click the TEMPO button, then I am supposed to adjust the tempo by turning the jogwheel, right? Nothing chances though.

I just hope I misunderstood something and the unit is not defective...

Can you select Events in Events mode by turning the 4D encoder?

Nope. Only "joystick" function is working, turning it does nothing.
