Question BEFORE transferring NI-products

Hello Team :)

I'm willing & able to search tutorials on YouTube how to transfer KONTAKT-instruments from Harddrive to external SSD.

But in NATIVE ACCESS/PREFERENCES I can find three different folders which are able to be adjusted: DOWNLOAD location, APPLICATION location and CONTENT location

The first one, DL, I won't touch because it's OK for my system. But I don't know the difference between APPLICATIONS and CONTENT!

Actual example: I've got a folder called "SAXELLO SAMPLES" and the associated file "SAXELLO.NKI"

My AL is /Applications/Native Instruments - and my CL (the new one - self created) is /Volumes/UZ T7/NI_Content

Application is where standalone applications - such as Kontakt, Guitar Rig, Massive X, etc - will be installed. You should keep those on your default drive.

Content is... well... content: Libraries for Kontakt (East Asia, Session Guitarist, ...), Massive X Expansions, etc. Because the content size can get big over time, it is generally recommended to store it on a separate drive with enough available space (1TB+).
