Agreed, it would be nice to get a proper look at what would be my main reason for upgrading Komplete! Odd that they are being so mysterious about it.

To be honest, an upgrade mainly technical, and, just to keep up with the competition, would be free with other manufacturers. Just need to look at e.g. Arturia Pigments, there were major improvements since I bought it at version 2 and I did not pay one cent. THAT is a sustainable upgrade policy. Only if you wanted to have the new presets that they released, you had to pay.
In any case even though it could look better, Kontakt 6 serves me well, maybe I will upgrade to Komplete 14 when there will be a discount on the upgrade in the future.
And I hope there will be complete UI overhaul. I think Kontakt (for sound design) is severely held back by its old-fashioned UI. Once you get a hold of it, it is extremely powerful but I bet that most people are not able to harness its power.

The new browser (the one you see on the screenshot from the original post and may be already familiar with from Massive X) will come, but Kontakt's UI won't be scalable. Both are different things.
When talking about "scalable UI", check out e.g. Guitar Rig 6.

Depending on which part of the NI website I look at, drop date for pre-orders is the 27th or the 28th. Which is it? I know it's only a day but I'm impatient!

Maybe they don't want people to pre-order and receive the same day, but I can't understand why that would be the case.

I've been waiting for over 2 hours since my order confirmation for my download links and serial number. I got up extra early this morning to get everything installed and set up, so I hope the date is actually September 27.
