Session Guitarist - Strummed Acoustic; Can this be played outside of strumming loops?

I have the Kontakt VST instrument, Session Guitraist - Strummed Acoustic, and I was wondering if there is a way to play this instrument as single notes on the keyboard like any other instrument, and play my own chords? So far, I've found that I can only use pre-recorded guitar sequences, like loops. If I can't achieve what I'm looking for with this VST instrument, I'd greatly appreciate some suggestions for best acoustic guitar VSTs that can do this.

As is implied in the name, NI Strummed Acoustic & NI Strummed Acoustic 2 are pattern players only, no melody playing available.
NI Picked Acoustic will play both patterns and melodies (not simultaneously though).
I have had good results with AcousticSamples 'Sunbird' and 'GD-6' acoustic guitars which run in the free UVI player, as well as the Indiginus Renegade series. Amplesound makes a few ACO guitars too. There are some other 3rd party developers as well.
