How do I automate turning Fractals on/off in Hammers+Waves in Logic Pro?

I just purchased Hammers + Waves (LOVE IT) and am trying to figure out how to turn the Fractals effect on/off using MIDI automation in Logic Pro

I do not have a physical MIDI controller - I want to draw the on/off automation in the piano roll

Is this possible?

    You don't need a controller in Logic to automate, just go to the automation lane. I don't have Hammers+ Waves, but just tried NI's own Analog Dreams Kontakt instrument and found all the automation destinations at the end of the long list of mid ccs.
