@Fatbat it really depends on how the research goes really, but if the team has sufficient info you'll see more updates in the next roadmap, though we can't provide an exact timeline unfortunately.

Hey @Pippo91 which compatibility and general stability in particular? If you're referring to Apple silicon compatibility, that's in the work - same goes with browser improvements.

Worst announcement since (~10y) i am using NI Products (Traktor, Komplete).

The main reason i got a new Traktor s4 mk3 was my understanding that it comes with a decently maintained plug&play ready software (Traktor Pro 3) without any extra payment or subscription models (which i refuse completely and why i quit the adobe ecosystem).

49€ annually for just a few 'extra' features? really? This reminds me of BMW wanting you to pay a periodic subscription to be able to use your build-in heated seats after you bought the car.

I would rather accept to pay a one time fee for fixing a bug i reported years ago in TP2 already, which is still present in TP3.

I am really disappointed.

If you have such a strong dislike for subscriptions, how do you manage in life? How are you getting internet access for example?

Internet is a service… but “software as a service”works for Adobe and so… even services like Spotify or Disney+ struggle with that model (Disney+ is going to get ads over the regular subscription price meanwhile they’re going to add new Disney Pro without ads but pricey…).

Traktor needs to offer more if they want to be seen as a service. Look at Vdj with video library or karaoke (useful in open format field). They charge a subscription for the whole program and some libraries of these as a plus but not for features. Serato does that for features but you can buy the whole software once too. What NI is doing with Traktor is something a bit strange and it’s comprehensible some users will not get the point when there isn’t enough clear what’s that point (even more if you compare against competency).

One can be pro or against subscription models but it’s easy to be pro them where these are clear in first place.

I thought the product lead said one time that they were supposed to be in touch with the.community more? Why not jump on the hot seat and answer the hard questions? I don't want to pay for software that you are planning for future releases. It's like buying a tree and planting it, but you don't know what you paid for and if it dies, well you paid for something that you had no idea.

This is the problem with suibscription models with software. Your product should eb FINISHED before you sell it. You then take that revenue and work on the next update or product. Paying to be a glorified beta tester for bugs just doesn't sit right with me and a lot of other DJs.

So I ask you product owners, make a statement -- explain yourselves without the political answers

Also it was said new hardware was coming for the 20th anniversary, there's been no transparency about that accept a survey, which tells me you don't have any ideas what to make? Again if you had a Q&A to let people know what's going on instead of just. a nice picture with what may or may not happen would be nice.

Also, all these sample packs that I see coming out a few times a month, do you re-use samples from previous packs? If there is an 808 Kick in one of them, do you say nahhh, let's just use one of the other ones, nobody will know? Or do you actually RE-SAMPLE it all over again? Just curious if I'm re-paying for existing products?

Sorry to be blunt, but I am at a point where I need to move to Pioneer Rekordbox, or try to stick it out...

You seriously can't push a "PLUS" subscription model and the plus is for a few bells and whistles then not have the product working at launch.

You can't be that company.

This is the part of the cycle AFTER the new guys step in and releases a memo that makes it onto the forums...then promises transparency then after a few months disappears and some new guy takes over communications and we get left in the dark again after a weird update that no one wanted.

It's a slap in the face to all the people who have supported traktor even after removing features then telling us a NEWLY BUILT one is coming but it's not ready so in the meantime here's a new version of the same one w/all the bugs and no features people actually asked for but some other stuff you spent time on instead and it works like a beta release.

It feels like these decisions are being made by corporate bottom line instead and the feedback they're getting is from a 6 year old using the app.... Considering you were just bought out a few years ago I really wouldn't be surprised. You really need to sit down w/ DJ's who are ACTUAL DJ's USING TRAKTOR EVERY GIG, NOT PAID ACTORS Playing music. 🤐

Still my main rig but you can't be that company..👁️👁️‍🗨️
