I recently picked up a Kontakt drum instrument by Past To Future Samples called Walsh Drums. It has nice snare, toms, etc., but it needs better cymbals. I have some experience editing and creating drum kits in the past (Kontakt 5), but in this case I am unable to do what should be a simple thing, add a crash cymbal to this drum kit.
I tried copying a crash cymbal keygroup from another Kontakt instrument and then doing Paste With Samples into Walsh Drums, and it appears in the Group Editor and Mapping Editor, but when I play the key for the note, I get no sound.
I next tried the simplest thing possible, dragging a single crash cymbal sample into the Mapping Editor in Walsh Drums, but again, no sound when you play the key note.
I believe the problem is that Walsh Drums has a simple Mixer built into it with Kontakt Scripting. And it seems that this mixer is preventing the new samples from being heard.
Is there a simple way to add a crash cymbal to this instrument without spending weeks learning KSP programming? I don't care about the mixer, but simply clicking bypass on the Mixer in Script Editor doesn't help. It just makes it so none of the notes sound except one. Can anyone help? Thanks!
