can I get a link to the hardware connection service? it's not in access, it's not on my computer, and I can't use the mk3. macOS
Since you were posting in a thread with a completely unrelated issue and on top of that the thread were more than a year old then I have split your question into a new question of your own.
Anyway , then you are right that there is a problem with the HCS download which is a result of recent NI server dispositions.
I will notify someone NI , but since NI staff do not work weekends then this will not be addressed until next week. Also please notice that the HCS works in tandem with your keyboard firmware why both should be updated at the same time…

@Noisy When checking your account I don't see any Kontrol mk3 keyboard registered, only a S49 mk2. The mk2 does not require the Hardware Connection Service. If you actually have a mk3 keyboard, you would first need to register the keyboard, as explained here: https://www.native-instruments.com/pages/kontrol-setup
If you only have the S-Series MK2 then I that is also class compliant on Mac OS and else then that uses Komplete Kontro app (plugin in DAW) only as interfacing since the MK2 can not communicate directly with Kontakt…
