I just upgraded to Tahoe, and now I'm having this issue. Whenever I try to load ANY Kontakt preset into Komplete Kontrol I get a "cannot load plugin preset". I have attached a screenshot. I have rescanned the database, done all the updates… NOTHING works. I can however, load the same presets into Kontakt and they work fine. This just seems to be happening with Komplete Kontrol.

Can you load the Kontakt plugin from the plugin menu in KK still?

I can load Kontakt, but still can't load Kontakt libraries into Kontakt within Komplete Kontrol.

I presume you upgraded from Sequoia, but did not get this on that OS? Neither am I so I'm wondering if this is a Tahoe thing, but so far there are only the 3 reports and I would have expected more if it was just Tahoe (unless most people on Mac with NI products are sticking to Sequoia like I am)

Yeah, it seemed to work fine in Sequoia…. I waited until 26.5 to migrate. I thought everyone would have had all the bugs worked out by that point.

There's always new bugs unfortunately :)

In this case it probably would have been caught if it affected lots of people but so far you are just the third to report this (here) I'm aware of so it must be specific just to a particular sets of factors, as yet unclear (although Tahoe seems like it might be one)

Best way you can help track the cause down is provide NI support with as much detail as possible about your system and what else is running on it. Anyway I've also passed this onto the beta team.

I had an issue a few years ago with an older version of Ozone constantly crashing and it turned out to be some background app I had installed to modify the Mac Dock, sometimes it can be that specific.

I'm on Tahoe and I can load presets into Kontakt when running under Komplete Kontrol so it's not a problem everyone has.

Yeah I think we would have a lot more reports by now if it was. Must be some other factor/s at work too.

I'm not talking about loading presets into Kontakt under Komplete Kontrol. I'm talking about loading Kontakt presets directly into Komplete Kontrol, without using Kontakt.

um … you can't do that. Kontakt presets are always loaded into Kontakt.

Komplete Kontrol loads Kontakt and loads the preset into Kontakt. Same as if you load a FM8 preset or a preset from another supplier like Arturia. KK loads the plugin, the plugin loads the preset.

Ok I'm confused now - you said 'still can't load Kontakt libraries into Kontakt within Komplete Kontrol.' If that doesn't work, and you have Kontakt working fine otherwise in KK, then there is possibly a bug, but if you are expecting to be able to load Kontakt libraries within Komplete Kontrol without using Kontakt, that's a misconception of how this works. Whenever Kontakt libraries are loaded in Komplete Kontrol it is because KK is hosting Kontakt, just with any other plugin's libraries - by itself KK is just an interface between plugins and the keyboard.

I should clarify…. I can load presets into Kontakt without KK. I also use the Kontrol S49 MK3… so I'm basically just browsing thru presets in KK… I dont specifically load up kontakt first… so if it's automatically loading kontakt when I pick a preset from the menu, I was unaware that It was loading kontakt first. I thought it was just built into KK to load all NI stuff.

No it's just an interface between plugins, DAW and the keyboard, including NI plugins and third party ones.
