Accidentlly set .meta files to notes on macos

Ojustaboo

I accidentally set all my .meta files used in NKS to be opened with Notes.

Can some kind person on Mac please tell me what the default program is for these files please?

In "File" menu "Get Info"
then on that new window "Open With"
then "Change All"

A text editor such as Text Edit, maybe.

Many thanks, I just wondered if it needed to be set to something specific, but everything working so I'll do as you suggest

It doesn't really matter what they are set to open in but if you want to edit them Mac Textedit is not ideal and I have found it can mess up syntax. I use the free Visual Studio Code for all my meta and json file editing https://code.visualstudio.com
