Komplete Kontrol 3.5.3 will not load anything

Hi everyone. Has anyone experienced something like this?

I’m using Ableton and only VST3 plugins, but Komplete Kontrol keeps showing the same error again and again.

I’ve already tried almost everything: I uninstalled and reinstalled Komplete Kontrol several times, deleted the Komplete Kontrol database file so it could rebuild a new one, rescanned the plugins, checked the path to my VST instruments folder, and also tried running it in Rosetta mode.

The result is always the same. Nothing helps.

What’s even stranger is that Komplete Kontrol only sees about 6 VST instruments, and those work perfectly. But it doesn’t see any of the other libraries and instruments at all. At the same time, audio previews of presets in the browser work.

Native Instruments support has been unable to resolve this for more than 10 days now.

When I launch Kontakt separately, all libraries work without any issues. And if I use my VST instruments without Komplete Kontrol, everything works perfectly as well.

The issue appears both in standalone mode and when using Komplete Kontrol as a VST plugin inside Ableton.

Has anyone here dealt with something similar?

@Spurlos Are you using the Komplete Kontrol AU plug-in or VST3 plug-in in Ableton? What happens in Komplete Kontrol in standalone? Do you get the same error messages? The first step is always to check the standalone version, fix it then it should work fine in the plug-in.

You mention only 6 plugins showing, which ones?

Have you ticked that box?

Can you load Kontakt 8, Massive and other NI plugins this way?

Are all your vst3 plugins showing in this location? Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > VST3 ? No files were moved after installation?

Did you have older vst2 plugins installed? Were you using Ableton in Rosetta mode or in Native mode? Both? If you switch one to the other you need to rescan both the plug-ins and the libraries, reset the database if that didn't help.

If you are strictly using VST3 - have you specifically instructed Ableton to NEVER load VST2?

This error pretty much always appears when trying to use a VST2 on MacOS.
