Hi,
I do understand that I can easily draw or record the pattern control keys in my DAW (Cubase) to drive Session Percussionist. With most Drum plugins, I can take patterns defined in the plugin-internal sequencer and drop them into the DAW, and then continue editing them from there. With SP, I can't find that capability. Is there a way to transfer patterns from the SP-internal sequencer to a DAW midi track that I have not discovered? It seems that should be imminently technically possible?
Why do I want that?
- The SP sequencer is a little awkward to use, because I can't see the tracks for the different instrument groups at the same time - I have to switch between them. That makes editing cumbersome for me. In my DAW, I have a much more flexible editor.
- As far as I can tell, the SP sequencer only can hold 5 patterns at a time that I can trigger with keys. I need more than that in most songs to create variety and variations. Perhaps as a work-around I can change programs in the middle of a song, I have not tried that… Is that possible?
One workaround might be to simply not use the internal sequencer at all, although that would be a pity because there are so many great presets in there that would be wonderful starting points. But it also seem that with the individualinstrument trigger keys I cannot get to all the different articulations that are available in the sequencer? Or if there is a way to do this, how?
Any help or explanation welcome…
