How can I rollback Kontakt from 8.10 to 8.9? I'm trying to locate a direct download link for Kontakt 8.9?

hey everyone, Kontakt 8.10.2 was just released, with a hotfix fot this specific issue, please open Native Access and update and let us know if that fixed the issue. Thanks again for all the reports, that's what made it possible to have a fix so fast.
Bigger question is - what version of Nuendo?
VP
Hey @Phred If you open Kontakt in standalone, does it crash as well?
Have you tried these steps? https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/fr/articles/115004169849-Kontakt-Crashes
If that doesn'thelp and you do need 8.9, you can find it in your Download Manager: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/28532496056861-How-to-use-the-NI-Download-Manager
Before that, could you share your crashlogs? Either here or when contacting our support.
@Jeremy_NI , It works fine as standalone. But, after updating to 8.10.0 and 8.10.1 projects in Nuendo and Cubase fail to open if they have an instance of Kontakt. They crash immediately. If I open Nuendo in Safe Mode with plugins disabled, Rescan plugins, delete all instances of kontakt and then replace all instances of kontakt, I'm able to work on the project.
But after I save and close the project all work is lost because it crashes again. It works fine in Ableton and LUNA. Version 8.9 worked fine prior to the update.
Nuendo Version 14 and also Nuendo Version 15
Hers a screenshot of the log…
Could you zip the crashlog and attach it to that thread?
Sure Thing.
Would you mind if I tag along on this thread? Same issue with projects in Cubase 15 and Cubase 14 on a Mac. Working on projects containing Kontakt 8.10 or 8.10.1 is no longer possible, since they no longer load in Cubase. Reverting to an earlier version of Kontakt such as 8.9 will immediately show an error that a later version of Kontakt is needed, resulting in the same dead end with production work.
OS: macOS 15.7.1
Here's the log file.
Hello Jbsound,
I was able to uninstall 8.10.1 completely, restart and install 8.9 from the direct download link that Jeremy_Ni provided. I'm able to open my projects again.
Same problem on Cubase 15.0.21 + W11 25H2. But Cubase do not totally crashes, simply warn about Kontakt being slow to answer, then Kontakt has crashed. Restarting Cubase, it starts and load my project without more warnin and Kontak not being in blocked list ? It seems to be some buffer size or timing inside the new kontakt. My conf is solid with ssds only, 64 Go RAM and Core Ultra 7 265K.
Thanks everyone for the info and files, forwarding this to the Kontakt team. Will update the thread as soon as we get more info.
One little question, do you all have a Kontrol Mk3 keyboard connected? If you disconnect the keyboard, are you still experiencing these issues?
Can you reproduce the issue with Komplete Kontrol tracks instead of Kontakt ones?
With KKS61 mk3 off, my project loads without any pb…but reports on the end the missing midi source. Yes it seems related.
Thanks for the info. Can you reproduce the issue with a Kontakt library loaded in Komplete Kontrol in Cubase?
No more time today, sorry, I will just add that I updated my KKS firmware and connexion utility this week.
